Transfering Halo 3 map variants between hdds

Hey guys, It’s been a long time since I’ve played Halo 3. And I really want to get back into it. I have the original xbox 360 with a removable 60 Gb hdd and was wondering if there was an easy way to transfer my map variants from that hard drive to a newer Xbox 360 that doesn’t have the removable hard drive.

I have a hard drive transfer cable but that overwrites data that’s already on the newer xbox. Is there a different way?

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really want to get back into Halo 3 and play fun games like Trash Compactor and other maps my friends and I made.

Its easy. Just get a USB flash drive and plug it in. Then go hard drive through the system setting on your console, locate each map/gametype file you want to transfer and move them over to the flash drive (although this has to be done one by one and is time consuming). Then simply move the flash drive to the other console and do everything in reverse (move from flash drive to hard drive).
