Transfer profile from Halo 4 (or Reach) to Halo 5

Hello - I’m needing some help and hoping someone can point me in the right direction - - we already have an XBox 360 and have been playing Halo Reach, Halo 4 for the past few years now and recently I bought my kids (and I!) an XBox One S for Christmas along with Halo 5… Only to find out that there’s no local multiplayer, but, am giving this one final shot but in order to do so need to be able to transfer our Halo 4 (or Halo Reach) profiles over to Halo 5… I’ve checked the Cloud on 360 and the Halo save data and files are there… but not sure how/where etc to look for Halo 5 in order to import/transfer etc… I’ve searched quite a bit, and although it’s more than likely already posted somewhere else I just can’t find it - please help a Halo-brother out - please ! Thanks and my apologies if the solution/post is elsewhere!!

If you mean your gamertag (or your kids) then you should be able to log in to the xbox one with your current e-mail and password and be good to go. If you mean your stats, you’ll be starting over…though the old ones will still be viewable on waypoint.

Yeah OP, not sure what you mean by transferring over your previous game profiles to Halo 5. As was already said, your gamertag can be used both on Xbox One and Xbox 360; you just need to log in using your email and Xbox password.
As for stats, well, those are new for each new Halo game. You can’t view your Halo 4 progress from Halo 5, or any other Halo title. You can view all you Halo game stats here on Waypoint, though. There is also no way to do splitscreen on Halo 5 because the game doesn’t support that. Halo Reach is backwards compatible, though, so if you are trying to play Halo Reach on Xbox One, you need to have your save data on the 360 set to Cloud, and then you just need to download the game on the One. Halo 4 isn’t backwards compatible because it is part of the Halo MCC for Xbox One.

Thank you comedyshermit and Chimera30 - I truly appreciate your feedback - truly sux that 343 (or whomever) didn’t put forth the extra work and time to make this local/couch split screen or other similar layout and function… The Diablo series nailed it with the abilities to have up to 4 players play at the same time, and, ON THE SAME screen without having it split…I know it takes quite a bit extra programming and development to have that kind of functionality, but c’mon… (I)and many others didn’t even feel the need to check /confirm it STILL had local split screen and are thoroughly disappointed… Guess I’ll give this (1) player view a shot, and go from there, but feel a Return to store is in my near future… Thanks again guys - I truly appreciate it!
