I have seen the trailer many times and now I would like for 343 to answer a few question:
- why dose John’s armor look so different
- why did the ship magicaly change
- why is there space snow around the cryotubes
- why is the ship on fire
- (combination of 1 and 2) if all this happened not long at all after Halo 3 then why is everything so diffrent
Now dont get me wrong I like how the armor looks but i think 343 owes us an explaination on why everything is so off. I’m wondering if anyone shares my thoughts on this or views it differently. Anyone wanna say?
All we’ve been told is that the answers to your questions will be revealed in time.

Why does that planet look so different in Halo 3 than it does in the trailer? Unless it’s a planet within the planet lol
> 1. why dose John’s armor look so different
IT doesn’t really it’s the same old, same old just with a few artistic liberties taken. Plus they said that this isn’t the final version of the armor and that they have gone through 4 versions already
> 2. why did the ship magicaly change
What do you mean? It looks almost the same except with a few artistic liberties taken here and there near the cryotube area
> 3. why is there space snow around the cryotubes
Some sort of liquid or moisture and the coldness of space plus the time they’ve been floating around as well
> 4. why is the ship on fire
The slipspace jump at the end of Halo 3 split it in half this is why Thel Vadam crash landed on earth, and this is why John was thought to be dead.
> 5. The artistic liberties taken with the armor does irk me, but aside from that I see nothing wrong with it since it looks cooler without the “space diaper”. Also the thrusters were always there, John just never really had to use them during the Cairo Station battle because of the following
1 Magnetic boots
2 When he was giving the “Covenant back their bomb” he was being pulled in by the Earth’s atmosphere, using them there might have screwed up his aim instead of aided him.
So basically, Spartacus, you’re ignorant, if something is different, It’s different. You can’t say, “IT isn’t really…” You’re on this website all day, stop “Trolling” every post you get to & get a life.

The answer to all your questions is that 343 Industries is trying to change it up a bit & give players the old feeling, but mostly a new feeling while playing Halo. They’ve even created the new design for the chiefs armor with the help of some community members, which in my opinion isn’t a great idea (Why would you change something that looks good already? Now John looks like Noble 6’s dad).

Your argumentation skills are lacking, believe it or not when someone has a strong opinion of something he’s not trolling. Also if you want I can prove to you how the armor is not different at all or a different armor using both interviews and photographic comparisons.

1&2. These may simply be artistic licenses or there could be canonical explanations. If the latter is true, then it will be explain in game. Remember the Halo 2 announcement trailer? Lot of differences in the Chief’s look, but all was explained in the first few minutes of the game.
-
It’s cold in space, and its possible there was moisture still in the ship. It’s close to absolute zero in space. It could also be an artistic liberty to show space is cold.
-
This will probably be explained as new information is release. The trailer was just a teaser.
-
Well, it’s not immediately after Halo 3. Halo Legends shows that Halo 4 will take place at least 4 years (2556) after Halo 3, and its been implied that a lot more time has passed than that.
Honestly, we’re just going to have to wait. There are reasons things look different or why things are the way they are, but only time and patience will reveal the truth.
> I have seen the trailer many times and now I would like for 343 to answer a few question:
> 1. why dose John’s armor look so different
He had a wardrobe malfunction.
> 2. why did the ship magicaly change
Because it drifted through a magic nebula.
> 3. why is there space snow around the cryotubes
Because it’s space winter, duh.
> 4. why is the ship on fire
A squirrel bit through the electric line.
> 5. (combination of 1 and 2) if all this happened not long at all after Halo 3 then why is everything so diffrent
Because a single trailer represents the entirety of the game.

It all makes so much sense now.

This is my opinion of these questions.
- The change of the MK VI is just an artistic expression, but it is the identical suit from Halo 2 & 3.
- Its just a part of the ship, and its been floating in space for an unspecified amount of time.
- Its been a long time, and it has built up over time from drifting through interstellar clouds of dust.
- probably just an effect, as flame can’t exist without oxygen. Could be effect from the shield worlds tractor.
- They haven’t specified the time in the canon between 3 & 4 but that it is still a “continuation” of the events.
I hope this helps.

We saw very little of the planet in Halo 3 so I don’t really see how you can say it looks different.
First off: It wasn’t a trailer, it was a teaser. Big difference. A teaser shows the uncompleted game just to “Tease” you about it. The trailer will come out when they know what chief’s armor will look like, and when they want to show the enemy.

Good point.

I don’t like his shoulder pads other than that I have no problem. I’ve wondered the same about the ship, It look more like the pillar ship than a frigate. Maybe its just a concept, idk.
