Tragedy?

Am I the only one who actually likes alot of sadness and death after great character development? In every kind of media/fiction I love a good tragedy, so i hope Halo 4 really makes me connect with a character and have them die off in Halo 4 or in later games.

I don’t know why but I love a good tragedy and I feel like i am the only one.

What are your thoughts on tragic incidents occuring in Halo 4?

Im with you on that. But the only way it can affect us is if the characters are actually interesting enough for us to care about them.

No Johnsons, but if its someone who isn’t all super epic, I’m fine with it.

As long as it’s not cheesy like on Reach…

If they’re going to kill someone off it shouldn’t be in the same game in which they where introduced, if they want us to have some sort of attachment to said character.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that there maybe a few secondary characters that die but this is a new story line for 117 so im willing to bet that there will be new characters that we get to see and possibly in Halo 5 and 6 they could die. Thats what made Halo 3 great. Miranda died and that really set the tone for the rest of the story

I agree! Before Reach came out I was so excited because I knew alot of lives would be lost of course…but after playing the campaign, the characters just didn’t connect with me. I didn’t care that they died.

Yeah i agree. Anything that brings forth a strong emotion i really enjoy.

Not that i enjoyed seeing Johnson die because he was one of my favorite characters in the series, but its just that it evoked a great emotion of sadness and heroism because of how such an epic character finally met his maker.

I only cared about Emile cause he had a pretty nice helmet…

i thought that Dom’s death scene from Gears 3 was one of the best video game death scenes ive seen in a long time, that is exactly how a main charactor should go out…with a bang

Exactly, and the music had a huge part in bringing fourth those strong emotions in my opinion.

Also, [SPOILER:Ghosts of Onyx] At the end of Ghosts of Onyx (my favourite Halo novel)I actually was moved by the death of Kurt, I grew so attached to him while reading that novel.

Like Halo 3, MC must go out with a Bang.
