If you guys have a mini tradition for halo launches what is it?
Mine is i am always the first in line, stay in line regardless if there is tickets or not and speed home racing to slap that disk in my xbox and then stay up all night with my buddy’s, playing till morning!
mine is not go to sleep until i have reached the daily cap or all my friends get tired and skip out after a meer 20 hours of playing…
I don’t particularly care where I am in line as long as I get there early and have a chance to have great conversations with people and just hang out with people who share my interest. I don’t get to do that too often so midnight releases are really special in that regard

yeah the social aspect of just being around everyone that is there for one reason and just talking about halo is amazing, well i hope you get to go to halo 5 release!
My tradition is usually: Get in line, stay in line, answer all the trivia questions correctly and walk home with an action figure and my new game. But that won’t happen, since I bough the console that comes out on the 20th. So, those people are lucky I won’t be there on the 27th to take those trivia prizes away.

hahahahha you should just swing by and everyone be like AWHHHHHHHHHH F*** its that guy!
I got a ticket for “running” a stop sign after the Halo: Reach release. Midnight in a quiet community. Thought I stopped. Officer on a power trip issued the ticket as I was in the parking spot right next to my apartment. Fun time.
New tradition is no tickets after release.
I’m going to the Microsoft Store in Northpark Center at midnight. Any other Halo fans in Texas gonna be there?

Dude nice! yeah i go with 4 of my friends and yeah the games have been pretty much the same 59.99 get to be around 64 bucks with tax’s so dont blame you for second guessing. i just love halo so i dont mind putting the 64 bucks in!
This will actually be my first time breaking tradition. I always bought the game (with the exception of Reach, which came out the year I graduated from high school so I did go to midnight launch with friends) the day of release with a twelve pack of MTN Dew Livewire/gamefuel and a bag combos (combos >>>>>>>>>>>> doritos)
This year, depending if i work or not, I’ll just spend my 26th doing normal activities. And then at night, buy some combos and soda for the launch at 11:01pm for my digital deluxe edition to unlock.
Go find local tournament, win and get next Halo free.
3 for 3 so far:)
Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo Reach (no tournaments in my area for H4 or MCC)
Trying to find one for Halo 5 but no dice as of yet.

I’m Texas bound as well, a couple minutes outside of San Antonio.

Everyone there would hate me and knowing the store manager, he’d probably not even ask me the questions and just hand them to me.

Really? My GameStop does that all the time on Midnights. Doesn’t matter what game, Halo, Pokemon, Batman, you answer questions right, you get prizes. You get your number on your receipt called, you get prizes. My GameStop is over here in Texas, where they’re super cool and just give stuff out… I went to pick up my Master Chief controller and one of the employees was like " Are you a big Halo fan? " I of course said yes and he proceeded to show me all the cool Halo stuff that had come in and just started handing me freebies like little statues and like a lanyard and stuff. I was like lol okay, sweet. Apparently they got too many. I also got to call dibs on the Chief and Locke big block figure things they were forced to put together and leave hanging in their store… so I’m getting those. They allowed me to take the two smaller Chief and Locke ones home also, since those are free.

Halo 4’s release I was first inline, I got a taxi home, ran into my house, excited as I was for some stupid reason I decided to throw halo 3’s disc across the room in a violent manor as i ejected it to put in halo 4. Booted up legendary and the rest is gravy.
Halo 5’s however as I work nightshifts now means monday night seems to mean i’ll probably be sick!
