I know 343 has said that we will be able to switch the digital code from the limited collectors edition for a physical disc, but will we be able to do the same with the digital code from the console?
They haven’t said anything yet, but I don’t think you will be able to switch. Digital codes are very common with console bundles.

Thanks, I really hope they do let us because I want the actual disc, but I don’t wanna have to buy two versions of the game.
It’s one of the reason why my friends and I are not buying the Halo 5 console is because you don’t get a hard copy. I wish they gave you just the standard version of halo 5 too and not limited. It would of keep the price down. All of us want hard copies. They just lost 4 sales due to this.

I’m thinking I might still buy both the limited and the console, and just give the code and the limited edition to my step brother as a birthday gift and keep the disc and the console for myself.

I just hope that for both buyers of the Console and the LCE, that we can trade in our code for the Limited Edition Disc, it’d be quite disappointing if we simply got a standard version…
im curious if the digital code trade in for the disc will come with the limited edtion metal game case. i mean i paid over 200 for this item i kinda hope to get the good case with it instead of that -Yoink- green plastic

And I don’t understand the obsession with Microsoft making decisions and not checking with their base first. If they could run a tight ship like Steam, I might be inclined to favor the digi version, but they can’t even compete. This is a sore spot at the moment as well, because I want a physical copy, but am wary to trust the company to do anything right or make good on their promises. They often over promise and under deliver, MCC being a good case study for this example.
The other day when XBL was down I couldn’t even sign in to my account. Since I couldn’t sign in, I had no access to things I PURCHASED. Instead of defaulting to “offline mode” it chose to show me the same error over and over, and not let me access anything. After I went offline it was fine, but the fact remains that it’s built on a shoddy foundation. Those were things I purchased, and they should be available to me at all times without me having to diagnose, troubleshoot, or do anything other than push “A”.
I bought the console bundle and the LCE and traded one of my codes for a disc and am downloading the digital version right now.
