Tradable Req Items

I think they should 100% add a Req Trading System. Like if someone has a helmet they don’t like and someone has one they want and are willing to trade a helmet for the one they want, they can. I think it would be a cool addition to the fall update. 343i, please add this.

I wouldn’t like it because their might be low level Spartans begging you for ultra rare and and Legendary armor, helmets, stances, visors, and assassinations. And you get common, uncommon, and rare cosmetics that you already have unlocked in return

Even if the concept doesn’t sit well with you, others may act otherwise. I’d personally wouldn’t mind being charitable and giving armor sets (that I hardly wear) to the newer players. If Achilles was on the list though, I would riot.

I would be open to the idea such as helping my spartan company members especially if they are new to the game at this moment to help them along the way but not to much to spoil them.

I think that if they do add this though, they should add a level requirement for trading. Like you need to be a certain level to train a certain rarity.

Not sure if trading permanent unlocks is a good idea, but we should definitely be able to trade single-use req cards.

I agree, only single-use items should be tradeable. Like what the first reply said, expect a lot of noobs begging you for some ultra-rare to legendary armour.

I don’t like the idea of trading/sharing REQs. It could create a black market of REQs (lol).

Edit: also, for me, grinding for all the REQs in the game was fun. It gave me more of an incentive to play the game to finish up my REQ collection. Just keep grinding and buying packs, you’ll get all the REQs one day or another.

This is why they came up with the giftable packs you could only purchase with real cash.

Req black market lmao yes

What if they only allowed trading for people with everything unlocked already and then put in limits to how much you could trade with that person? So a 150 for example couldn’t trade with a level 5, but they could trade with another 150 assuming they have everything unlocked and they could only trade 10 items with each other per week or whatever 343 thinks is best.

I think if you could trade weapons, vehicles, and other warzone items then that would be cool. I have a perfect balance for it too. Basically,if you have a uncommon card such as the energy sword and you want to trade for a legendary Hannibal wasp then you can’t trade with that person, but if you go and look at a guy who has a lawgiver which is uncommon as well, then you could trade. The rarity is what matters when trading so that you can’t give a new player legendary stuff for free, and that means they have to acquire a legendary before they can trade for another. Mythic weapons would be in a different category other than ultra rare and legendary.

This… No trading because yeah I don’t want to be spammed with trade offers… Noobs would be like I will give you some bolt shots for a banshee ultra… Or my common armor for your legendary… blah blah blah

I’m pretty sure everyone I’ve ever partied up with either wants this (the majority) or at least thinks the option should exist for those who would use it.
Strangely, it’s only amongst communities outside the game that I’ve ever seen people actually advocate for it to not be an option at all.

“Cus spam” for a counter is just hugely exaggerated, you guys really aren’t all that popular. You realise plenty of other games have these trading systems and it’s not a serious issue, right? It’s a complete waste of time to randomly msg people when you could just post on a public discussion & have them find you.
Heck, even chatting with pros who have the largest excess of anyone, they say they wish they could share extra packs/reqs/points to help make someone’s day and at least have some sort of use for them.

The reality is most people just don’t want to do that in the first place and trading won’t change that.
The people who are ok with spamming like that, they already do it anyway with whatever excuse they get but you don’t hear me calling for 343 to remove spartan companies because I have to take 2 seconds to click ‘block’ after every few games, that would be completely selfish and entitled.

Anyway, it’s not going to happen because 343 wants people to use micro-transactions.

Permanent REQs would probably be a no-go for it. It would most likely end up causing some weirdness with collections.

Single-use consumable REQs would be nice. Just as long there would be some restrictions as to what could be traded for what, I could see it working out.

I agree about trading of reqs

This can be exploited so easily. Let’s say I have everything in the game and someone wants my Argus helmet. I would give it to them and immediately open another gold pack to get that helmet back. This system would be really broken. I say it would be fair for single-use reqs but not permanent unlocks.

I think it would be a good idea if implemented properly, that being said they would have to make the req system different then it is now to do so. As it stands you dont unlock things through anything but random chance. A trade system would be better if you unlocked things through hard work or commendations.

I think a trading system would be nifty for spartan companies. Say you unlocked the card that gives you sniper rifles but you’re -Yoink- with a sniper… so you trade it to a company member who excels at it for something else.

I don’t think 343 will ever allow this because it would decrease their pack profits. BUT i personally would enjoy the option. I have more blaze of glories, Answers, and blood of subans than I could ever use. So I’d be glad to trade like 5+ blazes for one banshee ultra, or camo III.

They could make it so once you trade a permanent unlock you don’t get it back. This would make people think twice before trading something important. Or, they could also have REQ item buybacks for permanent unlocks, but in order to get it you have to pay a huge REQ point fee of like 500K or something like that.
