Why are some people in this game so toxic and take it WAAAYYY too serious. I was just on a team where two guys that were partied up decided to be so toxic that our fourth guy just up and left. This isn’t even in a ranked game, it was quick play and these dudes were way too serious, funny thing was that they weren’t doing that great either. I understand our fourth man was not playing great, shoot I didn’t have a good game either but hey sometimes bad games happen, no need to belittle the dude to the point where he quits.

I was once kinda toxic. I wrote in the chat something to a total noob because he delivered the enemy flag to their base.

I understand people getting frustrated with bad teammates at times, especially in ranked where you have something to lose but outside of ranked I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s just that my personality is too laid back to get all worked up over losing a game but even when I have had stellar games and have a teammate or two that are dragging us down it has never crossed my mind to turn the mic on and belittle them. Mainly because bad games do happen to people and you never know what might be going on as to why they are playing like trash, could be a number of things. I mean these same dudes were trashing talking me too but I just don’t even let it bother me but they clearly ran off the fourth guy because after half a game of it he left.

My favorite toxic is when the primarily awful players can’t stop teabagging. They need some way to assert their dominance when their team is losing.

First world problem, let the 4th player talk to a therapist about it. This is sounds like most video games I’ve ever played. Buttheads exist. Play the game, trash talk back, mute, etc etc etc.
I’m more surprised people used game chat. Instead of being muted or in a private party.

The high number of server issues (hit reg, desync…) and netcode problems can really make people upset and lose their minds after some hours lol.
But I found more toxicity in valorant for example. In Halo very few people talk…

I’ve only been (seriously) berated once in all the matches i’ve played and i didnt even play that bad that match. It’s been mostly positive for the most part and i’ve made some buddies that i team up with regularly so all good in my experience.
Internet anonymity. They say these things because they feel as though there are no consequences to their actions.

Here’s a better question. Why some people take too serious people that are being toxic (whether these people mean it or not) ? How does it matter?
If you’re going to be toxic, do so without fear of being called out for it.
You can’t call yourself thick-skinned if you’re going around getting angry at people calling you for toxic behavior.

99% of the time im pretty chill unless I’m doing a challenge, but even then I’m toxic cause I just wanna get said challenges over with, but when i drop into games with peeps like that, I try to out toxic them by throwing the game via getting killed lol, and when they send chat I just say cope. its fun sometimes lol
edit: im trash when i play too so calling me that doesn’t bother me XD

I think you can mute players so that shouldn’t be an issue tbh. I deactivated voice chat altogether due to this. FPS videogames are not necessarily a reliable way to have a civil interaction with other people, but that’s just my appreciation. I avoid people in real life, do the same in MM. It just works.

No more to say than hope for the future updates to address this toxic atmosphere that 343i has created, in a sense its not legal to be rolling out a game that stresses a consumer out its actually mental health issue here its quit a serious topic and very sensitive to allot of passionate Spartans out there being cheated daily so its also expected .
I bet you also ignore them when they need help loooool
