There will always be bad actors in any community.
You can either mald or just let it be.
Doesnt justify sending hate mail to someone and being toxic to them because they decided to buy something they liked.
I’m surprised there are any toxic players left in the game. I thought they were all on the forum. Not you - sorry you had this experience. My advice is mute everybody.
Yeah, I feel you. Usually when I get hate mail I do one of two things. I either make a terrible joke or say something positive. They’re always caught off guard and they just kinda disappear afterwards. Always works. I strange method, but it works for me.
When someone talks crap to me, I just ignore them. They want you to respond. They need you to. So when you don’t it makes them even more mad. The best thing you can do is enjoyed your stuff you bought and just play.
You might be having fun, but they’re not.
Honestly, you probably made the troll’s day if they found out you made this thread.
Just ignore and/or block people behaving like that if you don’t want to engage, and move on.
Welcome to the modern area.
It’s a game, it’s not that deep, go use some of that life you said you have and stop crying on a Halo forum about how you got bagged and taunted for buying skins.
And assuming anyone who troll’s you in a videogame got molested as a child is kinda weird.
some people are just amused by annoying people online and that’s fine, just ignore it and get on with your day and you win.
No it’s not fine, some people use games to cool down and ,yes they take ti too seriously ,but really harassment is not good no matter where it is.
He can buy whatever he wants with the money you didn’t give him.
Unfortunately player toxicity is something that is in almost every single game to this day some more so than others Grand theft Auto is a prime example of a game that has a lot of toxicity but it’s mostly because players are allowed to get away with it I mean just go into one of Grand theft Auto V public lobbies and you’ll see what I mean but with Halo being a free-to-play game now it gives more opportunity for those kinds of players to join in with players who are just there for the game alone and not to be disrespectful to anyone else around them for pointless reasons
It’s definitely a method I have used before and the main reason why it puts them off is because they’re wanting to get a bad reaction from you they’re wanting to annoy you and then when you make a joke or just show them that hey I don’t really care what you think they just go away cuz to them you’re no fun lol

Summary
why people do the things they do we will never know. But we do know people have a tendency to trash talk online that they otherwise wouldn’t be capable of doing in person.
But I also fully support the art of trash talking in Halo multiplayer whatever form it may take. A part of multiplayer so deeply engrained within Halo culture that I feel obligated to carry on the torch.
So scratch that beef curtain between your legs for me old man.
Gaming in general has become toxic to a large extent.
Not to excuse anything, as I agree and just want to mention it, other games like Siege have players actively messaging you mid-match with hatemail. Kind of comical if you tune it out, but shouldn’t happen because you have no idea who is on the other end.
People aren’t going to calm down about anything involving money for a while.
Buy whatever you want and enjoy it, this is your experience with the game and you are the one who is using their funds, not anyone else. Anubis has a really cool helmet and I like the strap thing that looks like a helmet, so nice pick on your fashion.

Well I can’t lie, I’m annoyed by you purchasing anything from the battle pass. Cause Every purchase is a validation 343 gets for this silly system that needs to die or at the very least revamped heavily and done properly to be an example of how to implement this battle pass bull. All that other stuff of people calling you bad is unnecessary though. Especially if you didn’t even tbag or trash talk in the first place.
Why does their money matter to you?
Do you think there are people in the world that are disappointed and critical of you owning a gaming console and buying video games? Would they think you should be spending your money on other things? Does that matter and should their opinions have a say in your life?
Already answered this, each purchase is a validation for this crappy battle pass system…which affects us all. I can sit here and criticize 343 or Microsoft but the audience plays the arguably biggest role. Gamers hate micrograms actions,? Cool, then stop supporting them…send a message. Halo was one of the golden standards of gaming, now it’s fell into scummy practices.
And why is it their job to send a message they don’t agree with?
