I do not understand you people.
343 released this flight SPECIFICALLY for finding game breaking issues, yet people are on here saying “this is the worst game”, “COD Ripoff”, and just stupid stuff in general. THIS IS NOT A COMPLETED BUILD
I just don’t get why some of you bothered to even register for this flight. If you don’t want to be testing a broken game, why did you even bother downloading…
Yes the PC performance is terrible, and that is literally why SO MANY people have gotten into the flight on PC. It’s to help optimize between all the different hardware.
And I’m not saying this flight is without reasonable criticism, but it’s just that most posts on here are from toxic players who have literally zero idea what the flighting process is.

I mean. I’ve found an incredible amount of issues I have with the game that isn’t related to it being a technical test server or not a full game. Technical Test or not it’s still a slice of the game. As much content as a demo. And if people aren’t into this “demo” then a full game probably won’t change that.
I would say that before the launch is the exact time to complain and rant. While they still have time to change things. They even delayed the game because people complained about it. Just to make it as good as possible on the release day. So, complaints and rants are actually good for the company.
Let’s be honest, since Bungie relinquished Halo, the community were the main source of heat. This is probably why no one messes with the Halo community since so many of them complain more about Halo than non-Halo fans, I don’t even hear Call of Duty fans complain this much. But don’t mind the toxicity, always remember that at the end of the day, the fans truly don’t know what they want, I even learned this first hand from many interactions from other fans that seem to contradict depending on the timing.

Because people have nothing better to do than to whinge and complain, i for one love this preview in many ways its a halo ill be playing for years to come and i can see my enjoying, and id like to think the majority of people who joined this preview are here to have fun and test this build let the staff at 343 know any issues there are so there are very little to none when the game fully releases,
This flight has some issues all of which is why we are testing.
To be quite honest the Anger is understandable and not at the same time for separate reasons. It’s understandable that people are mad they can’t play the games because of bugs that prevent them from getting past the first load screen but when people see bugs IN GAME then it’s not understandable due to the fact 343 said there’s gonna be bugs. They don’t want an overwhelming amount of complaining and ranting they want us to tell them about these bugs so they can make sure the game is playable and has little bugs as possible. They have told us there’s gonna be problems through blogs and in-flight news, so these types of complaints are not necessary In my opinion. I’m not denying there is reasonable criticism like how some weapons could be underpowered and some may be overpowered (not a personal criticism just an example) but some things that are said are not needed to me at least.

So true, it’s a Halo game and a return to it’s roots. I am mainly playing the Preview because it feels like a Halo game and something I’ve personally been wanting for some time. I love the Preview even if it’s a slice of the game. I’m not gonna shower it with praise because obviously there is a few problems but I understand that these problems were here and we were told to expect problems in them. ODST bots kinda need abit of tuning (cos dude those things are lethal for pinging to your head with the sidekick) but for the most part I love it. If you dont like it and If it’s not what you want then don’t play it. Simple as that. People who complain and whinge are the type of people who don’t listen to reason. The people who have valid citicisms are the type of people I would rather listen to. It’s best just not to listen to these people. Unless they create a large outcry and actually do something that changes the game then just enjoy the game and don’t listen to em.
I agree people like to complain and rant and dont understand what a flight is. HOWEVER i am worried as i seen ALOT of issue and granted the current build is 2-3months ahead of this flight we are all testing in. BUT halo infinite launch is just a few months away im worried they wont get everything done in time. But there were somethings i liked customization,sprinting NOT sliding,shooting range,gunfights were pretty good not great but good.

None of the anger and complaints are even valid. It’s all coming from people who clearly are new to the franchise and expected COD or are Halo Elitists that expected a full completed game because for whatever reason they immediately signed up without reading what they got into. The Halo community used to be great.
Now it is a bunch of cynics who don’t want to play Halo, they just gave up their personalities for being edgy and wish they were still young and could experience the old halo games again.

I used to be active on the Bungie.net forums but when 343 took over, I gave up on the Halo community. There’s a lot of biased hate towards them as a company and their games, which I don’t think is warranted (not saying they’re perfect either).
Trying to come back into the fold now but it seems worse now than it was in 2012.

I agree that there has been a lot of hate, and I will say while I (personally) think a lot of the hate is warranted I will say that the devs getting death threats and personally and all that other nonsense is pure gargabe and unequivocally unacceptable
I don’t think the hate is bias, I think the hate comes from the sheer colossal volume of massive #$%!-up eggs 343i have laid, I can get into those if you’d like but I think at this point they are all fairly well documented

The Halo elitists are what is killing the community and fanbase. If you want a 2003 game in 2021, go play MCC…
Games evolve, most franchises don’t stay the same or even around for two decades. I’m happy Halo is still around, I spent most of my childhood playing Halo CE and Halo 2 on my Xbox and enjoy most of what 343 has done to the new games. Granted Halo 5 had a terrible campaign, but I have come to love the multiplayer as it is (except req packs…)
343 is doing enough to stay fresh, yet old with Infinite from what I have played and seen so far.
Barring the conversation about elitism that won’t go anywhere productive. I agree that flights are a time to be critical of the game so naturally people are going to be very nitpicky, however people should aim to be more descriptive with what their issue with the preview are. Saying as quoted from the OP that the game is a “COD ripoff” or that it sucks doesn’t tell 343 anything useful. Explaining what works and what doesn’t work in a polite tone will go a longer way towards actually getting positive changes with their feedback.
people just want to complain for the sake of complaining it feels like modern classic halo and im no 343 lover i hated 5 with a passion not to mention we havent even had the opportunity to fight actual players
Hate to break it to you but this is the time for people to be giving their constructive criticism. If everyone just screamed the game is perfect and thanked them for allowing you to play early and didn’t point out any of the issues the test would have been worthless. We’re flighting this thing to make sure everything works properly so that the final game rolls out smooth, they don’t want to suddenly find out there’s some massive balancing issue or major bug left in when the full game drops.
If you’re in this just to play the game early and not give any feedback then you’re the one that’s in it for the wrong reason.

Obviously you don’t understand the point of this post. I’m not saying the flight is perfect, I’m saying that there are people here literally complaining avout things we don’t even know about yet. Or already hate 343 for having a buggy game, but that is literally the point of the flights.
It’s a very difficult decision who to invite to Flights. I’m sure 343 isn’t happy with all the invites sent out either but it’s a risk for getting the other, “constructive” feedback. Yeah, alot of people don’t have a clue how development works – welcome to the digital era where people spend all day reading other people’s thoughts and no time with their own.
I don’t know how you get toxic , the forum boards have been lit with great feedback on all things halo , most have had a healthy amount of discussion and debate about what has gone on the past weekend .
The good the bad and the ugly , 343 are owning all of it from what I can see and wantr all of our feedback to hopefully make a bettergame at launch . people like yourself with this post seem very quick to Trott out the old" your a toxic community " line without considering the bigger picture
