Evidently, once you hit 100,000,000 Experience, you stop earning experience in any games you play. But don’t worry, you’ll keep getting XP boosts out of REQ packs. :-p
And how do you know this relates to Halo 5…?
By definition, the total maximum they’d be able to receive in any video game is if we go by the 64bit logic.
The highest number you can go on any 64-bit system is precisely 9,223,372,036,854,775,807. If the number goes any higher after this, it will either reset it-self or completely crash the entire game (and possibly corrupt it as well)
Unless 343 has set a max number you can’t go above in terms of XP, we’ll be going with this number and this number only (you do realize 100 million XP is like…not even close to level 152 in Halo 5…?)
…Unless they coded it like this, which it looks like they did. I watched Nas’ stream tonight and he doesn’t get XP anymore. Just look at his Halotracker profile:

It shows he doesn’t get XP because he’s level 152, while in reality he’s still getting XP. He just can’t see it.
It’s like the leveling system in Halo 3. Once you get to level 50, you don’t increase in level at all. But in reality, and as 343 stated, you are actually still leveling up to like level 51-70 or so. After that, once you’re a certain “hidden level” everything stops but you do indeed keep leveling up.
I’m pretty sure on Halo Tracker, the maximum number reported is only 100,000,000, so it won’t go any higher then that.

It only takes 50 Million to get 152.

It doesn’t always meant that it will result in a crash. Either, they have put a cap on the amount of xp you can earn so you cannot earn anything past a certain point or it will be like a loop and carry a 1 to a none existent bit.
I haven’t got any confirmation if it’s a 32 or 64 bit but it’s not practical to reach the maximum amount of xp either way.
Level 152 in Halo 5 do require 50,000,000 xp to get which is 2.5 times more xp required than in Halo Reach to reach the max rank. 100M xp is double the amount of xp required to reach SR152.

You still get XP at 152. The cap is 100M and only then do you get 0xp after each match

I would guess that this is to have a bit extra space for adding few more Spartan Ranks in the future if they want. It could also be a sign that some plans has got changed through the development which caused the max Spartan Rank to be at SR152 instead of something like SR200.
I will never hit 100M.
That’s all I know.

It’s actually 100% possible to get that much XP and I would also guess that it’s also much easier to rank up in Halo 5 than Halo Reach as the XP is much easier to get. These players has played something like 50 days (active playtime) multiplayer or more to reach the max rank in Halo 5.
My playtime is approximately 11 days which is the time required to get a full req collection (I got that pretty recently).
Edit: There are a few people closing in on 100 million XP right now
NAS has hit 100,000,000 and it appears he has stopped

It’s looking more like 60 days to get to 152. The double XP events will obviously bring it down though
Sweet!
I’ll never get maximum rank. I’m just half way… And in my opinion all the players with almost 100 million xp should start searching a job and move outside of their parents houses because there is no way to get that amount of xp without playing 24 hours per day everyday
I don’t think it matters. By that time, I’ll just be using RP boosts.

If you played 7-8 hours of multiplayer each day since the launch of Halo 5. You would actually have a total playtime of around 100 days in Halo 5.
I know it’s a lot of time but it’s fully practical doing. The max rank would only require playing actively multiplayer around 4 hours each days since Halo 5 got released and that isn’t much for some.

More than 72 days played in Halo 5 Multiplayer (Arena and Warzone Matchmaking alone). Played every day since launch. Still do.
I have 11.5 million to go to hit 152. I could make it go quicker, but now that most of my friends have left the game to play Destiny 2, Awakening the Nightmare, etc., I haven’t been playing as much. College also forces me to budget my time considerably.

Glad I’m not the only one dealing with this issue. I try to make myself free on weekends, although you’re more likely to find me online on Sundays. Even then, I’m just a freshman…
I have better things to do now then play Halo 5… Like playing Destiny 2, Forza Motorsport 7, Assassins Creed etc. I hate the idea of just playing one game on a console…

There is a way, it just takes a hell of a lot longer than it would if you were playing 15+ hours a day
