I’ve had my 3rd crash when using the new Halo 3 skins. I’ve seen other people talking about how it is effecting them on Xbox One X as well, and I have submitted a ticket on the support site.
Currently the work around is to turn off the new skins. I recently unlocked the Sword and Board, which prompted me to turn the skins back on and see how it was doing. I made it several hours without a crash.
If anyone else is experiencing this please have a ticket submitted to the support site.
I’m starting to have crashes with combat evolved now which wasn’t a thing before on series X. I had freezing issues with halo 3 during season 5 Ive yet to have halo 3 freeze for me in season 6. I did submit a clip during season 5 of halo 3 freezing at the beginning of a match to halo support and they’re aware of the issue.
Idk if this is a series X/S thing with MCC but if mcc freezes and you quit and restart the game it will 99% freeze again usually at main menu/start screen and if you quit it and restart MCC again your entire Xbox home will then freeze.

Series X user here I had no issues with Game Crashing when I upgraded to a Series X, I had a One S before and I used to crash when I had the skins Enabled

Have you tried disabling skins?
After changing armors or skins you have to fully close MCC and go back to xbox home. From there restart the mcc. Seems to work for me. Don’t change armor or skins and then search. You will crash.
Not sure if it’s just Halo 3. Had a few crash’s myself too last night and only noticed this since the update with Halo 4 ranked on XSX. Though when my game crashed I had to restart my game obviously but it kept failing to start game from the ‘start’ menu so had to do a console reset to fix the issue. I suspect MCC will get another update soon to try fix what’s causing all these crash bugs. Only custom thing I tried equipping recently was the Nomdagro arms armour for Halo 3.
I have a Xbox one and it’s been the same thing for me, last night I turned on skins since I had new armor and wanted to see what it looked like but on my first match game froze and my console shutdown hard, took it a few seconds to start back up to

Similar story to me. If you haven’t yet please submit a ticket on the support site.
As it is currently not listed on the open issues I am hoping the tickets show how widespread it is and have it resolved soon.

No I haven’t but I enjoy having them on and the freezing is quite rare at the moment.

I’ve seen several other users say they have this problem, but it is currently not listed as an open issue on the support site.
We need tickets to be submitted so 343i can see how widespread this is and hopefully have it fixed soon.
Same for me and everybody in my team playing on Xbox (One, S, X…)

Edit: I tried to disable weapons skins and it tends to work, didnt had a freeze yet, same for my friend on Xbox One.

It’s not just you the new update for MCC I’m using all the new weapons skins for all the halos and when I’m in multiplayer my game freezes and then it automatically shuts down my Xbox hard shut shuts it down but when I disabled the weapon skins and vocal skins nothing happens it’s the weapons and vehicle skins that do it
