This is a thread for some silly fun
When making a custom loadout, we have the following components:
Primary weapons: 4 precision + 3 auto = 7
Secondary weapons: 3
Grenades: 3
AA: 8
Tactical packages: 9
Support upgrades: 11
Since “Firepower” allows a player to carry 2 primary, we will have to make 2 separate calculations:
- Without Firepower:
7 (primary) * 3 (secondary) * 3 (grenades) * 8 (AA) * 8 (Tactical excluding firepower) * 11 (support) = 44352
- With Firepower:
7 (primary) * 6 (second primary) * 3 (grenades) * 8 (AA) * 1 (Tactical = firepower) * 11 (support) = 11088
- Total: 44352 + 11088 = 55440
Note: if we consider “none” as a valid option for both tactical and support, and allow second primary to be the same as primary, then:
without firepower: 7 * 3 * 3 * 8 * 9 * 12 = 54432
with firepower: 7 * 7 * 3 * 8 * 1 * 12 = 14112
Total: 54432 + 14112 = 68544
I’ll have loadout #33187 please.
But really, that’s cool to hear!
Do it again, but this time consider skins too!
Seriously though, that’s a big number.

I’ll try to ballpark it, based on the halo4 nation armor list:
Armors: 30 regular + 8 specialization = 38
forearms: 17
legs: 17
visors: 17
38 (helmet) * 38 (torso) * 38 (shoulder) * 17 (left arm) * 17 (right arm) * 17 (left leg) * 17 (right leg) * 17 (visor) = 77,910,393,344 (~ 78 billion)
This does not even take color into consideration, which have a huge number of permutations by itself (primary color, secondary color, visor color)
Awesome number, and i was thinking that were only a few options
Please do it with armours,i gave you 328592326329864 Thanks
You can’t do left and right arms/legs. They are a set. So you pick twin plated legs, both legs go twin plated. If you choose outer-plated arms, both arms are outer-plated. Re-adjust your numbers.
Edit: Also, you can mix-match shoulders. So there should be two shoulder sets of data.

The ballpark number I had above is ~78 billion, without considering colors.
This number could be off by quite a bit, but it is suffice to say that we have more than enough armor permutations to go around for the entire human population on earth

Good to know.
Adjusted numbers: 38 (helmet) * 38 (torso) * 38 (left shoulder) * 38 (right shoulder) * 17 (arms) * 17 (legs) * 17 (visor) = 10,244,273,168 (~10 billion)
Still more than enough to go around for the entire population of earth (~7 billion)
117 billion possible ways.

I would like to do colors as well, but can’t find the total number of choices. Anybody know how many primary/secondary/visor colors are available?
Unfortunately, in most of the games you can only go with red vs. blue. That’s a bit depressing
Updated OP to correct a mistake I made earlier: tactical upgrades have 9 options instead of 10 (11 if including “none”), and support upgrade have 11 options instead 10 (12 if including “none”).
New results:
68544 total permutations (including not-so-meaningful ones that have “none” as tactical package and/or “none” as support upgrade and/or having the same weapon for both primary and secondary)
55440 meaningful permutations
So… much… MATH! This thread makes my brain hurt. That’s a lot of combinations. How long do you think it would take someone to try every single one?
