Why so much hate for Torque? I honestly think it’s one of the better maps 343 has put out. Sure, it’s not all that visually appealing, other than the sky, but it plays phenomenally. I love how it’s decently bigger than most Arena maps. I’ve seen a lot of hate on the dual Grav Hammer spawns, but there’s so much more room to run around compared to all the other maps, that picking off the people with Grav Hammers fairly simple, unless you get caught by one around a corner. The H2 BR is a nice addition, as well. The only complaint I have are Rockets; I don’t think the map needs a third power weapon with the 2 hammers.
I dont think there is that much hate for torque. There was a negative post about it before but a majority of the respinses seemed to praise it.
I really enjoy it, especially when the pistons activate at just the right moment for you to escape.
Yeah, I love this map. The spinning sky structure and layout is real cool. I can understand being disappointed with yet another mostly grey human structure but it is still a solid map.
Hopefully they do a map on sanghelios for arena, and do a solid job on the rig remix.

why are they angry, because its UNSC? I mean I prefer function over aesthetics and in that department its better then a majority of other maps.

I think people just get hella salty when they get REQ’d by players running around with Grav Hammers, imo. Lol. Or when they get Perfect’d by the H2 BR.

Mainly asthetics, yes. Until someone repeatedly dies by the explosives while picking up the H2 BR, then he will come here and hate on that too. Or the hammer being broken, whatever. People always find stuff to complain about, but wouldn’t if it ever were in their favor.
I like the map a lot. Took me few games until i could find some paths that made sense to get across the map quickly. The backdrop is amazing.

I didn’t literally mean everyone, I meant the vast majority, from the posts I’ve seen on the forums. Any certain reason you don’t like it?
I like though I’ve never played it yet.
i really like it and find quite original too.
Moreover everytime I will play on this map I will remember Trinity and Lena … This story really impressed me and I appreciate this map because in some way it’s dedicated to them.
I’m enjoying playing torque. The only thing for me is looking up after having a drink lol,
it gives me bad motion sickness

You should, dude! It’s a solid map. One of my favorite, next to The Rig, Overgrowth, and Empire.

Lol, glad someone found some humor in it.
Torque is easily my favourite map. However, I hope to god they do what they did to overgrowth and take out one or both of the hammers. I get that for novelty’s sake they needed to put the hammer on a map, but definitely not 2, and not on the most symmetrical map in the game.
I don’t love it, but I definitely don’t hate it. It’s the best map 343i has released because Riptide was garbage. Same with Overgrowth when they first released it there were nothing but close quarters encounters and if the enemy had both the shotgun and sword you would most likely lose that match. Torque could do without the hammers honestly I’ve played so many games where people grab it and hide around a corner. Torque isn’t all that bad when you get used to it. I’d rather get more maps like Torque than Riptide
