Torque is foreshadowing single-player DLC

Weekly canon fodder

In this weeks canon fodder, we learn that Torque, the new mp map, has been taken by the created and “a team of Spartans” will be sent in to wipe the AI’s out. It said that to prepare for this, The space station, code named Torque, will be added to the war games to prepare for this mission. Are we that team of Spartans preparing to go and wipe out the station? I really hope they add this as a single-player DLC kind of like Spartan Ops. Do you want this and think that it is foreshadowing for story DLC?

Sounds like it’d be a set up to Spartan Ops rather than Campaign.

Halo 6

That note made me suspicious as well. Could it be teasing Firefight? Spartan Ops? Or nothing at all?

I would love to get some Firefight going here.

343 pls

They already stated they don’t plan on creating story DLC. (Though I would definitely love it; perhaps something episodic like Spartan Ops, but more like actual campaign levels.)

Though it does give us a lot of insight into post-Halo 5 lore. (evidenced by the Warden being a boss in Warzone, and other map descriptions), Halo 5’s multiplayer in general seems to take place after Halo 5.

Not anything related to Halo 5, but Halo 6. The incredible thing is that in some achievements pictures Chief is fighting some kind of machines. Is this another hint? That means we’ll also see the cape in the next game, which purpose would be to make Chief unrecognizable by the AIs.

That’s interesting. But surely after introducing the Prometheans, and having Covenant Remnants, they’re not gonna introduce more enemies? (Judging by that art it seems to be of human design; or at least used Human technology to create it.)

No, most of those achievement arts looks to be concept art. At least, that is what it looks like to me.

It’ll most likely be like, a Warzone PvE thingy that we’ve all been waiting for. Just imagine it!! 24 Spartans booking it into the station and ‘REQ’ing all the AI in the place… That would be freakin’ awesome.

Yeah, concept art, but not of Halo 5, I think

I would like Firefight over Spartan Ops, but either is good. Both is better!

That’s true. Could be a good possibility. I was wondering how they would create a PvE warzone without making SERIOUS changes to the AI in terms of patrol routines and such, but this might be a good method.

Yah, I said Spartan ops.

They said it would be an arena map so I thought they would do what they did with halo 4’s Spartan ops: have the mp maps to fight the enemies. I think if this is true, we won’t fight covenant but just prometheans.

That’d be sick… considering we’ve been doing War Games training this entire time, how cool would it be to then finally be able to take our Spartans out on the field a la Spartan Ops for expanded story content against the… um… AI enemy at the end of Halo 5 (non-spoiler!).

Please. Oh god please.

Yes, because they would put concept art of a future title in their current game…

It would take Spartan OP’s or an Extended Cut style DLC to fix Halo 5’s campaign. Most importantly, these DLCs should not be written by Brian Reed.

Because they said that don’t plan to, that doesn’t mean that plans havent changed. It could be just starting in development and this is their cryptic way of telling us.
