Can the mods learn that a thread can serve a totally different purpose to another while having similar topics?
Seriously it’s like basic reading comprehension.
This type of over curation breeds worse behaviour and neuters discourse.
Its a joke that waypoint is one of the worst places for the community to discuss things these days.
Thanks for locking my thread now if I make a comment ill only to be told I’m in the wrong thread cause that thread got locked.
Back to reddit and YT how sad is that at least here someone might have seen the discourse.

I must admit that’s why I got off waypoint years ago. Only back now for the pre launch phase. I still remember posting a similar but still different topic like you said, directed to another thread, then got told I need to keep it on topic.
I understand the reasoning and they are fair reasons, but I definitely acknowledge sometimes the reach is a little bit too far. Not to mention it’s hard to maintain 10 to 20 sub conversations in the one thread all at once. But yeah I think I’ve been reminded that waypoint isn’t necessarily the best place to discuss halo. I’ve been getting better Facebook conversations and we all know how toxic those conversations can get, but it’s simply easier to discuss and share an opinion ironically.

Agreed. There was a visor thread that had some things going for it and I don’t think visors have been said to be locked into coatings yet.
