Heyo, gonna keep this short and concise.
Here are a few things I think would upgrade the game, and I’m curious what you people think, these wishes/ideas dumb or reasonable?
Remove Spartan chatter, replace with a default voice on for the entire team + enabled proximity voice for enemies in social playlists. (and an easy way of muting people) (But opting out of all voice chatting should not be default on, like modern games seem to be doing.
My point here is that removing voice chat should require an action (opening the menu disabling it etc). Not the other way around, this would encourage people to pick up their mic when they hear other spartans talking.
Remove clamber, keep halo one of the few fps’s without clamber. Increase jump height a bit, existing maps can work without clamber (think of Warlock in h2). Add physics that let you make some jumps, nades, gravity hammer. Grab hook would be even more useful!
Revert the radar to OG radars where walking does show you on the map. Let competitive play decide if they want radar or not in pro play.
Remove the friend v foe indication system, bring back RvB. Lets face it, you cant tell what armor the enemy is wearing anyway…
Leave the armor customization (with free color choice) to Lone wolf playlists and customs.
Add greater emphasis on shield breaking, just saw a video of how h3 and IMO it makes HI shield level indication a giant leap backwards.
Ensure that there is team-based equipment.
To my eyes all points above read like gospel. But obviously I want to come out and say that this is probably highly subjective, I am not trying to say that if you disagree your opinion is wrong or anything like that.
Not expecting 343 to actually change anything, but they have shown some community engagement (way more than other studios, say blizzard). So I’m crossing my fingers ^^

-I like the voice chat idea
-Clamber is staying that’s a pipedream lol. I like clamber anyway plus the maps are designed for no way they get rid of it.
-I could agree on the radar, but I need to playtest some more pvp in another flight to really know.
-No way they get rid of the friend foe system dude. They may alter it though. One Idea I liked was not having enemies outlined, so you just see your teammates and their service tags outlines. That way if you see someone with no outline you know its an enemy. This would then also make adjusting the shield popping animation easier so its not compounded by the outline.
-Like I said above they need to adjust shield breaking and better indicators for when an enemy is no shields. (they already said they are working on fixing this)
-I do hope there is some teambased equipment but I’m not holding my breath. the equipment we’ve seen so far is all great and I like them though. I don’t mind individual equipment.

That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t address the changes we want to see. Just because we know some things will change or get added doesn’t mean we know that these things will change or get added.

Lets see:
Well we know Duel Wielding and Playable elites are out which is odd because H3 leads with sales and popularity and I think Reach is right behind it.
Um idk why 343i wouldn’t want to copy H3 and Reach’s features and evolve them such as improving Duel Wieldable weapons, expanding upon the Commendation system, and so on.
But hey if abandoning Halo’s features for Battle passes, bots(I actually like bots but I don’t think they should focus on that before older features) and Free-to-play business model (which leads to micro-transaction city) then hey, if it works it works.
At the very least a stable launch unlike H5 and MCC would be nice.
