Hi, I am working on the Halo API Hackathon and I have figured out how to make a heatmap using the images that Prima provided. Since Prima is under a different license and I can’t use their maps on my project, will 343 be providing the assets needed to make the heatmaps? Are we expected to make our own maps from killing friends in a custom game and then using the coordinates to wireframe a map that will be close but not perfect? I think if 343 provided the maps to everyone then you would see a lot better project submissions at the end of the Hackathon.
Seconded. I know 343 has these assets and choosing not to release them will only lower the quality bar for submissions.

Interested to see the results of this, if you’re keen to share.
As for finding the X, Y, Z coordinates; you can turn on coordinates in forge mode. You’ll be able to find 0, 0, 0 on most maps. Maps you can’t forge on are obviously harder to do
I was just about to ask the same question. The new hotness is supposed to be the X & Y coordinates of the kills. But without the aerial maps the only thing you can derive from it is who are the top markmen (max avg distance / kill) and who are the CQC sweaties (min avg distance / kill)
