Top 5 Keys to Winning the Global Championship

#5 - Relocate to a Cool Weather Area

As you all know, 343 picked the worst time of the year to begin this tournament. The apex of summer has arrived, forcing gamers across the country to stay inside for hours on end in an attempt to escape the heat and humidity. The lucky among us will dial down the thermostat before settling in for some Global Championship action.

Some competitors, though, do not have access to manufactured cold air. As the mercury rises, the rapidly accruing sweat beads will work against them, conspiring to block them from advancing in the tournament. How can you hold on to victory, indeed, if you cannot hold on to your very controller?

Moving to a cold weather climate will easily remedy this slippery issue! A simple relocation to one of many communities in Alaska might very possibly make the difference between winning and losing the championship.

#4 - Relocate to an Area nearest the Internet Backbone

If you want to win the Halo 4 Global Championship, you need to do everything you can to minimize lag. Pursuant to this goal, you should work to locate the nearest major internet hub. Once you have found an ideal location, you can begin the moving process.

If you have parents or children who object to relocation, you can pacify them by pointing out how much faster the internet will work for them in your new home. Do not immediately inform them that you will bar them from using your precious bandwidth while you are actively competing in the tournament, though!

#3 - Get a Manicure

With all of the prize money at stake, you will want to get in great shape before competing with your fellow Halo 4 players. In addition to a strict dietary plan and a strong calisthenic regimen, you should also invest in a quality manicure before playing.

Quite naturally, some of the male competitors might feel somewhat out of place visiting a nail salon. In the name of competition, though, you must set aside your cultural and societal apprehensions. If you really feel uncomfortable, you can explain that you are only seeking a manicure so that you can win an online video game tournament.

#2 - Post Map Printouts on Your Walls

Knowing where and when each weapon and powerup will spawn on the map seriously improves your chances of winning in any given match. Although many players will memorize this information, you can gain the same benefits from printing out posters of each map, each printout highlighting important spawn information on the map.

#1 - Use a New Controller

No one likes to use a junky controller to play a videogame. As your controller endures more and more use, its lessening responsiveness will begin to cost you in games that matter. Even after a few games, your controller might begin to lose some of its potential. Are you going to risk your Global Championship on a substandard controller?

The first time you buy a half dozen or so new controllers for this tournament, think of it as an investment. You will lose money at first, but in the end your prize winnings will more than offset the red on your ledger.

If at all possible, buy all of the new controllers you can find. Firstly, you will have a very generous stock of controllers to use throughout the tournament. Are you having a bad game? Switching to a new controller might just help you make an epic comeback! As an added bonus, buying up all of the controllers will prevent all of the other players in your community from obtaining the substantial benefits that only a new controller can provide.

Great tips! Doing #3 right now.

…For the Championship, of course.

No you can’t. It automatically chooses the map for you and loads it immediately. There’s no way to leave except to actually quit.

I don’t think you can do that either. Even if you can, how do you tell if the people you’re playing with are good or not? You don’t even know who they are yet.

Really ?? no one knows how you see players before you see the actual lobby? It can be done and it is easy.
