TOP 20: Halo 5 (Community-Made) Wishlist

  1. Join In Progress needs to leave.
    Period. Or needs to be a SERIOUS LAST RESORT option.

  2. More colorful, “sunny day,” art style, return to an HDR system of lighting.
    Half the time we can’t even tell what type of elite we’re fighting based off of the color in Halo 4.
    Hell, Master Chief doesn’t even look green!
    We love the dynamic lighting though, please keep that.

  3. MORE ON-DISC QUALITY MAPS.
    6 amazing maps > 7 meh + 3 great

  4. An IMPROVED version of Halo: Reach’s roster system.
    Halo 4s is a back step.

  5. More Air/Scorpion/Wraith!
    I’m sick of the recent “one map per game” trend that includes the Banshee, Scorpion, and/or Wraith. Shatter is SCREAMING for all of those!

  6. More air vehicles.
    The banshee isn’t enough. Hell It’d be perfect to have a Promethean, UNSC, AND Covenant air vehicle!

  7. MORE CONDENSED PLAYLISTS!
    It’s fine to have a separate playlist per game mode, if we don’t lose half the playlists we’ve always loved.

  8. Better Ranking System!!!
    Whether it’s Reach’s and/or a True Skill system, I don’t want to max my rank in MULTIPLAYER a month or two after launch.

  9. Return of SCARABS/Brutes/Arbiter/Flame-Weaponry
    I’m surprised when 343i mentioned expanding the sandbox, they left out a totally unique and interesting aspect of it! FLAMES! Also, the Scarab battles and brutes became a key sandbox enemy for the covenant! The Arbiter is self-explanatory.

  10. What Halo 4 did to forge/theater/weapon-lowering/customgames options.
    Burn it. The only thing we could see worthy is the shadows of the forge pieces, and even then, we HATE waiting seconds every time we go to human mode. The re-skinned pieces look even worse than Reach (you went from grey to a more unrealistic looking white, yay!), theater just TOTALLY SUCKS now, weapon-lowering is easier, but about 80% of it’s usefulness is gone. And a lot of custom games options are just randomly gone.

  11. THE RETURN OF FIREFIGHT!
    Spartan Ops is good, and has the potential of being fantastic giving it had an in-game scoring system and timer/add in air and scorpion missions/mixed things up a bit more. However, what I think would be the best scenario would to have all of the Spartan Ops locales be available in a firefight mode IN ADDITION to the story driven weekly episodic Spartan Ops mode, add some custom game options, remove Spartan Ops matchmaking (or make it only the current episode) and add Firefight matchmaking, and BOOM! Best co-op ever.

  12. Get rid of Flinching and gameplay modifiers!
    Flinching can burn. Unscoping was perfect and didn’t need any changes. By gameplay modifiers I mean “perks” and those just don’t belong. At all.

  13. Option in menu to disable kill-cams permanently.
    That way we can choose what to see when we die.

  14. Buff Plasma Grenades, Pulse Grenades, and Active Camo. Make them Ordinance Drops/pick-ups.
    Make the person a TINY bit more visable, make it so he’s still completely invisible when he walks for active camo. Plasmas should have a larger blast radius and longer throw. Pulses should have the EMP effect like the power drain did.

  15. DMR or BR. Pick one.
    They don’t work well in the sandbox together, at all. Choose only one for Halo 5. It would make things a hell of a lot easier.

    PLEASE add them to Halo 5. Pretty please.

    Tone it down A LOT. Thank you. It takes literally ALL the skill out of the game.
    It’s seriously a nerfed version of an aimbot.

    343i, I’m all for you guys to add medals and redesign them, but not medals that award me for being shot! That medal alone totally makes that sense of accomplishment when getting a medal gone.

  20. Remove over-heating mounted turret on Warthog.
    It works fine on the random machine guns placed on the map, but the warthog is terrible with it.

  21. FORGE PRECISION CONTROLS!!!
    They were beautiful. You removed them. WHY 343 WHY???

    They really help when you need to find a certain type of player or match. You could add the option to disable Join In Progress through this as well.

For what you said about theater, the reason I dont like it is because you cant watch campaign clips. Just a suggestion.

Id also like to see firefight return. Spartan Ops was a good idea, but poorly executed with recycled maps.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but most Halo maps from here on out are going to suck due to sprint. They’re just going to be large thrown together messes like Exile.

I would like to see Halo 5 revert to the old scoring system of 1-50.

The ending of the campaign should be an actual fight instead of just pressing one button to beat the boss.

Agreed on everything except for those two. I can wait one or two seconds to get the Shadows. I mean, its not the Big thing. Also, the lighting system in Halo 4 is totally amazing. Since Halo 3, Master Chief has a Dark Green color. The color of the maps is just totally beautiful. (Longbow its a great example).

I was gonna reply all of the first post but I’ll just leave it at this: There is no such term as ‘beat multiplayer’. Not now, not before, not ever. To think so shows a fundamental misunderstanding of why games have multiplayer in the first place.

I don’t make machinimas, but I enjoy watching them, and I can’t even imagine how horrible Halo 4 is for the machinima community. On top of removing Elites in multiplayer, we now don’t have theatre in campaign and spartan ops. We literally can no longer have aliens of any sort in a machinima.

I’m doing one and I don’t have that much problems. Except for the thing about lowering weapon.

I personally prefer join in progress. I dont care for being out numbered for an entire match.

You can lower weapons in Halo 4.

I miss the days of “hornet jumping” where you could get in a hornet and drop into the enemy’s spawn. Also why did they remove the falcon? And don’t say because of the 4 year time gap because we have an op dmr in MP. Also the campaign gameplay could use some work with bigger battles with spartan/marine A.I. team mates, more open environments, more vehicles and please return the scarab. Finally less repetitive “pressing buttons” gameplay in Spartan ops and campaign

I’ll admit the idea works for some game types but it should be last resort yet sometimes it feels like the game is designed around that. I mean how many times have you been playing halo 4 in a 5vs5 gametype and they decide to start the game with 3vs2 in hopes that people will join later

Get rid of flinching
Get rid of specs (at least their perks armour is good i think)
Get rid of Tactical package and support package
Make Active camo a uhm you know just like in halo 3 when you need to pick it up
Get rid of the custom loadout system
Make sprint a AA
Add Bloom for Dmr (Will be the best way to nerf it IMO)
Add way more playlist
Add elite to Multiplayer

Well if it doesn’t involve aliens it should be fine but for thigns like Rise of the Spartans…

    Hopefully this problem will be solved by the nextbox. If it wasn’t for the dynamic lighting wait, then H4 forge would be pretty awesome. Custom options however are terrible - halo: reach stands king of custom games at the moment.

    No absolutely not. The one thing I hated about firefight was the fact that enemies appeared for no reason. Spartan ops may not be perfect yet, but at least it has some story to it - and some pretty epic cutscenes.

    I like the idea that things the driver of the flag carrier gets rewarded and more importantly acknowledged are included in the game as this promotes team play. But i do agree that more medals reduces the quality of them.

I personally like halo 4 compared to other halo’s.

They took firefight out because everybody stopped playing it in halo reach,in fact I saw only one person playing firefight beside me at one point.

I completely disagree with the idea of loadouts being removed,without them halo would be bland and would disapprove of teamwork due to someone taking the last BR or DMR on the map.

Another thing I disagree with is the removal speazilation it just needs some more work done on it
