What would be top 10 things that would revive/help the Halo franchise?
I think a Beta, Descoping and No-Sprint might be an obvious answer. But what else could help Halo to be a better game?

Bigger maps with better vehicles so that maps similar to the classics in the past such as blood gulch and sandtrap can be used, because the vehicle gameplay in halo 4 is poor, the warthogs and ghosts are underpowered in comparison with other games.
The return of previous characters such as the ODST’s and other Spartan IIs in campaign or SpOps along with classic armor pieces such as ODST and Mark V.
The return of classic weapons like the SMG’s along with dual wielding.
Bring back normal infection, make custom games options easier to use like in halo 3, and bring back other gametypes such as Invasion.
Generate a variety of different playlists such as a custom playlist for custom game variants such as classic infection gametypes like convoy or fat kid. A classic playlist with classic gameplay and map remakes.
Etc Etc basically listen to most forum posts, maybe the community knows best and 343 should take note of this.
That’s all I can think of straight away 
Longer Campaign, if millions of people buy Halo games and only 500,000 people are playing the online multiplayer, then multiplayer is in the minority, so more Campaign and SpOps stuff
No more “Bring back Halo 3 and Halo 2” posts.

I’m so with you. Most of the people on this site are stuck in 2004-2008.
It’s 2013, they’re not making Halo 2.5 or 3.5.

Sprint is essential to Halo now. You cannot “erase” it.

Interpreted as a downgrade and actually being a downgrade are entirely separate.
Moving at 120% speed is no slower than walking at 80% and sprinting at 140%. The only difference is the downsides that come inherent to sprint.

Wanting the game to follow the Halo formula is not being stuck in the past, it’s being a fan of what the game actually is. Not every game on the market has to have the same exact traits.

Sprint should stay but movement (walking speed) should stay at a 110% . Sprint should be set at 120%- 125%. So it’s not such a dramatic increase of speed but enough that you can noticed.

I agree with the whole list, maybe for non-competitive playlists have a Reach/4 system
