As the title says, a discussion about the top 10 mindbogglingly ‘OP’ powers that make you/your opponent throw their controller through the tv in rage.
Mine would be:
- Siphon- reaches its peak in banshee engagements but useful pretty much anywhere.
- UNSC/ Banished raid- maybe cutter raid infantry isn’t all it used to be post Jerome mopping up and outpacing infantry but given its monopoly over unsc play for a while it deserves to be up there.
- Combat repair- one of the best passives in the game, just a steady health bonus but very effective at what it does.
- EMP mac- Johnson’s saving grace? Not quite but pretty much undodgeable and a good drop can ensure you wipe half an army without casualties. If this belonged to a better leader we would see it a lot more.
- Fortifications- nerfed but still the main reason to go atriox.
- Boundless siphon- the best passive in the game I would argue, surprisingly solid healing rate.
- Teleport- Locust, sui grunts, enforcers… shudders
- Close air support- cutter’s jack in the box if it gets to this point. A force of nature if dropped whilst pushing bases.
- Vortex lightning- this was a tough spot, with any of the last 3 or 4 warranting a place but watching this tear through infantry armies is just crazy, plus it combos well with other leader powers that need units to stay still for a long time.
- Hunter’s Brand- Undodgeable, reasonably quick recharge,fairly cheap, good at all upgrade levels, damages all unit types well… plus it belongs to the coolest leader
