These are my top 10 best video game music pieces/song’s . .

  1. Tetris Attacks A Walk on a Rainbow . . Tetris Attack was one of the games I grew up with and it is one of my most favorite multi-player games.

  2. . . Super Mario RPG Boss battle music. . Super Mario RPG is also another game that I grew up with.

  3. . . Final Fantasy 6 Veldt Overworld . . Final Fantasy 6 is yet another game I grew up with.

  4. . . Final Fantasy 4 Battle with the Four Fiends Yes another game I grew up with.

  5. Final Fantasy 8 The man with the Machine Gun . . Sadly I never fully played Final Fantasy 8, I found out about this song from playing Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

  6. Halo CE theme song . .

  7. Starfox Corneria. . Yet another SNES game =)

  8. Metal Gear Solid 2 main theme

  9. Metal Gear Solid 4 main theme

  10. Zone of the Enders 2nd runner main theme

I’ll have to come back to this later so I’m leaving a post here.

But I’ll try finding out my top 10 and I agree on Man with a Machine gun, Such a catchy tune!

Oh and zone of the enders as well. Such a great choice of games and music.

Tons of nostalgia in there and as good as some of the Halo tracks are… I love other games more and the songs have stuck with me more then others.

I’ll quickly add in Runescape as well. That game grew on me from day one and I know there is a place in my heart that will always respect that game and make me keep going back to it no matter what.

I’m so glad to see another person on here who’s played Zone of the Enders as well! That game rocks. Really hope to see a sequel. :slight_smile:

Never played crysis my self. Plus there are loads more I could add because I would need a top 50 or 100 to do my favourite game songs as I’m missing at least 20 games out that have good music in them.

For instance, F-Zero and Metroid.

I really enjoyed Mass Effect and Half-Life’s soundtracks, they were really good.

Halo-wise my favorite song would have to be Peril. Makes me really miss the Halo 2 days.

Cannot find it anywhere on YT, but from time to time I return to one particular tune from Warhammer 40K Regicide, entitled: “Let us have a reckoning”. For the sake of display, I converted it from WAV to economic mode OGG format and temporarily uploaded HERE. Regicide entire soundtrack is pretty neat in most part. I usually know a good game or at least a promising material at a distance by the fine soundtrack it has - or properly applied silence. That is my folk wisdom.

Diablo2 and Diablo3, as well as original Witcher and Witcher3 do also have interesting soundtracks, easy to find on YT.
