I was playing halo 5 and wanted to switch games. I took out the physical disc and the game still ran. It kept running till I put in tomb Raider.
Crazy part is I went back to halo(no disc in console) and it ran. I tried this twice and it worked. I am offline and have no updates.
Don’t quote me on this just in case, but I’m pretty sure it just plays the game off the hard drive. The disc is there to verify you own the game and stops spinning after a little bit. Though it’s weird it doesn’t kick you out of the game like on 360 if you eject the disc, maybe being offline has something to do with it.
I wonder if you could LAN a game with one disc by installing it on a bunch of consoles and starting it with the disc, removing it and passing it to the next console.
I turned off the console and started it up again today and it worked without the disc. I’m 1000% sure im not game sharing.
Same thing happened to me I didn’t need the disc for like a week then it just started asking for the disc again I’m pretty sure attestedmoon is right
That’s cool. If the disk breaks you don’t have to buy anther one.
