The Halo 4 forum is suppose to be a FUN place where you can talk about the game. Not a bunch of negativity and BS. Sure I’ll admit that Halo 4 need some fixes and adjustments. What game doesnt? You need to be patient. If you want to whine go whine somewhere else, but this is not the place. Nothing will come whining on this forum.
Actually this place is for feedback as much as it is for “fun”.
If no one was allowed to say anything negative about the game, how would the developers know what’s wrong? Sure, they could fix glitches but everything else that needs fixing would be left out.
Do you complain about the food at a restaurant if it’s burned, cold or in some way not properly made? Or do you go home, sit down in your couch and start whining to everyone who can’t do anything?
I’m not saying that negative feedback is bad. I’m saying theres TOO much and its getting quite annoying.
> I’m not saying that negative feedback is bad. I’m saying theres TOO much and its getting quite annoying.
So…what is the right amount? I don’t think people can help it if they find issues.
I understand that feedback is important. But coming onto the forums simply to say: “This game sucks I’m going back to CoD.” isn’t feedback. If you have glitches or suggestions then post away, but too many people just rant about how halo 4 sucks. Play the game or play something else, but let the forums be open to something useful at least!
You guys arent understanding.
Threads for example…
Halo 4 is ruined
I’m quitting Halo 4
343i did a lousy job
Worst game ever
…are bad.
Threads for example…
Halo 4 needs a ranking system
Add more playlists
Glitch on Shatter
…are good.
You getting my point?
EDIT: What TheArmyman981 said.
Obviously the OP has issues with folks even addressing true technical updates that need to be addressed or he would not have been going to every thread that he feels is whining, even legit threads, and posting up stop whining. So now his solution is to make a thread to whine about whiners…
Hmmmm… I understand his frustration. Sometimes I feel the same way, with the exception of folks identifying true technical updates. Basically what TheArmyman981 stated…
> The Halo 4 forum is suppose to be a FUN place where you can talk about the game. Not a bunch of negativity and BS.
The game itself was meant to be fun and not just a bunch of BS too. What happened there? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Its what the forums are for, but I agree that there is too much nonconstructive idiotic flame posting going on around the forums.
Look on the front page and I’m sure you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Either way I could care less about the people inhabiting these forums; its just that the dumb posting needs to relax.
What OP fails to realise is that compared to the reception that ME3 got from the online community, this is a virtual blessing.
I, personally, do not find many game breaking issues with Halo 4 and prefer it to the likes of ODST and Reach, (obviously cannot compare it to Halo Wars because it’s an RTS). It will never be the same as CE, 2 or 3. I cannot stress this enough. They are all legendary in their own right, a lot of us grew up with them and have been with Halo from the start and continue to do so to see how the story arc evolves, but to compare them in their entirety to a game that is now firmly being viewed with rose tinted glasses is ridiculous. CE had flaws in its multiplayer and the fact that vehicles couldn’t explode etc, Halo 2 was critically short in the storyline at times, while Halo 3 had at least one silly moment with the Gravemind being no better than an oversized Victorian silent film villain. Yet, for all that, we loved them.
Reach, particularly Reach, forced you to sympathise with the characters a lot of the time and forced you to actually sympathise with them when they died in their cliche heroic poses. ODST, meanwhile, made you go from Point A to Point B while not really caring for the end result apart from to see how it ends.
343, in my opinion, while not exactly creating the perfect game (I found the soundtrack originally wanting, for example, but it has started to grow on me), have made a bloody good effort they can be rightly proud of.
Its depressing to hop on the forums to simply see people whine CONSTANTLY.

Its an attitude like this that isn’t getting us anywhere. And you wonder why people make negative threads.
Theres generally negative threads and there are threads with feedback, I see alot more of the latter then the former on these forums, with the feedback threads having alot of actual worthwhile discussions of the games mechanics, of how things should work, or how things doesn’t work, weapon balancing is an obvious hot topic, the changes from traditional Halo titles to Halo 4, and other feedback threads about the multitude of issues the game haves.
No game is perfect, thats completely understandable, but most games are infact finished and Halo 4 isn’t.
When you subtract good from Halo you get negative feed back. Not to say what you add will get positive feed back. I don’t mind the COD style add ons. My issues are features that are removed, overlooked and flat out malfunctioning. Where else but a forum can we gather in mass to issue a strong voice. Plus I don’t see a problem with lighting a fire under their butts if their PR people are taking note.
Plus. If this were a constant butt kiss fest with nothing but praise despite the missteps, it would be boring as hell. I know I’d get bored faster then I unfortunately am with the current state of Forge.
Welcome to the internet my friend, the place where people enjoy moaning and insulting others behind a computer screen.
I hate how gamers have become far too demanding in recent years. Sucks right.
