I’ve seen a ton of complaints on here the last few days, halo is dead, i’m returning my xbox, etc.
I don’t get it.
This game is designed to be fun, and competitive, and engaging - and so far? JESUS IS IT!
I’ve not even touched Campaign yet, something I play through on Legendary each game, slowly and surely - because I can’t stop playing the multiplayer!
I love the Warzone gamefeel, Breakout is still glorious, SWAT is heartpounding as I don’t know the maps yet and every corner could be death, etc.
If you feel betrayed by the evolution in a game, I get it, but I heard the same issues when Reach came out (loved it) and when 4 came out (also loved it.)
I’d love to hear from other people who are truly enjoying their time in The Cinco, and if you’re a decent player, who has more fun than complains about K/D - join me for some warzone badassery.

I cannot thank you enough to for making this thread, it is exactly how I feel about H5. I think it’s a great game that is very fun and it has a skill gap…FINALLY

Skill gap? Like who you get matched with?
I’m not the greatest at Halo, but I have fun every damn time I play - so if i’m matched with people who are Platinum or Gold, I think I’d be able to hold my own.
There’s actually been a shockingly high number of positive posts. Of course, there is plenty of negativity, but it isn’t overbearing, like it has been with previous Halo titles. By the numbers, you’re in the majority. Halo 5 is a fantastic game and a LOT of people share that opinion.
It is easier to complain than to be positive and all the people enjoying the game are too busy playing the game to bother with forums. However you have not touched the campaign so you are missing all the information about the game experience people are having. Considering that a lot of us play the game for the story as well there are valid reasons for complaining.

I think those are dropping down the lists quick, while the negative ones are CONSTANT reply streams.

Glad you are getting as much enjoyment as the rest of us. Also nice to see some positive over all of the negative and bias opinions.
Forums right now are a absolute cesspool of so many people jumping on multiple hate bandwagons and finding anything they can to complain about. 5 is such a LARGE leap forward from 4, in fact almost any game out currently. It’s plays SSOOO smooth, it’s visually astounding, and the rework of some of the weapons are great. I’m having a very hard time finding actual flaws. My mind is still blown about this game.

I certainly hope we’re in the majority. I finally hopped into Arena this morning and all I can say is that 343 absolutely nailed the multiplayer! Even starts with the AR/Pistol finally make this game feel like old school Halo where you actually have to fight for the BR and other weapons, while the added mobility features help keep the game fast-paced and exciting.
I have a few little quibbles with the campaign, but all in all it still manages to be my third-favorite campaign in the franchise. It is a little bit of a step down from Halo 4, but in my view, it makes up for that by setting up some mind-blowingly epic -Yoink- for Halo 6. And I actually wound up really liking Fireteam Osiris. There are actually quite a few little in-game dialog bits that you can hear if you wander around the map and look for the little intel items, and they do a pretty decent job of giving you a sense of who these new Spartans really are. Locke also really grew on me too, and by the end of the campaign, I got a real sense that he finally realizes why the Chief is what he is. It’s like, you can read about his exploits all you want, but until you actually live them, you really can’t understand. I may be alone in this, and I can’t really believe I’m saying this, but I’m actually looking forward to seeing where Locke’s journey goes from here.

> This happens every time an overhyped game comes out. Happened with halo 3, reach, 4
Hell, this happened with 2 as well. It seems like no one ever remembers how bad Halo 2 was at launch. This game isn’t even bad, this game is close to great. They need to get matchmaking to prioritize matching premades with other premades, and warzone needs teammate tags to be up and active at all times. The arena sandbox is actually amazingly well balanced. I’m sure there is something that people will find that is OP, but right now its probably the most balanced Halo we have had at launch since CE. The movement is great, the pace is great, the rewards feel good. They probably need to raise the rewards for arena since people who only play arena will take forever to actually be able to afford a pack. Haven’t finished the campaign yet, about half done, but I can see why people feel that it is rushed. The beginning is basically here is this team, here is this team, this team says no, this team hunts them, now we are going to actually tell you a story.Overall, really good game bordering on great, they just need to tweak it a little. Oh, and add all the maps to the playlists, this whole playing only 5 maps ( I have actually only played 4 I think) is ridiculous, this will cause people to leave quicker than anything. People need maps in Halo because of the shear number of games they play or it get very stale quick.
This is happening because all the people who own the game and are enjoying it are playing it! The trolls are the ones complaining on here! (Not withstanding any of the forums posts that are actually constructive criticism or actual problems people are having… you know the difference!)
