power weapons spawn way to often in btb, it has to be changed. its pretty annoying. kids need to stop throwing placement games so they can -Yoink- on people not as good, it’s unfair. that’s the whole point of the ranking system so you matchbooks your skill.
Yup. Weapon/map controls back but with a twist - it can respawn while the weapon is still in use (complicates keeping count of Whats on the map). Far too many power weapons. Sniper on the field at all times, sometimes two or more. There needs to be chill periods within the game. It’s chaotic.
Maybe spawn them with a lower amount of ammo?
The amount of snipers is absurd.
Just one of each at a time would work with a delay of downtime inbetween. I’m sure ‘weapons on map’ work this way - if I have the shotgun, it won’t respawn until I’m killed and it despawns, then the weapon spawn counter starts.
If I may, please hear me out.
I understand the importance of power weapons but things should be more democratic instead of punishing skill. The thing about power weapons is that some people get too good at Halo and they’re meant to balance things for people that can’t aim as well so they could still play Halo when matched with aim-experts. Having a real Halo fan base means making sure everyone is able to play Halo no matter how good you are and we should all understand that. But then people get too good around the power weapon thing. People will always find ways to abuse the game format if it’s too consistent.
If they brought in the voting system again, that would make things fun again like if a game sucked because you couldn’t get a fair fight, every corner had a rocket launcher or shotgun behind it, then there could be a vote for a rematch without power weapons, additional terms being the experience gamble getting redecided by the rematch without power weapons. Just because a guy figured out how to make sure you absolutely cannot walk around a corner without getting shotgunned or rocketed does not mean he deserves an Onyx. And just because you are good at Halo does not mean you should be stuck with people who do that. So therefore, if a game got totally ruined by a rocket or shotgun, let people vote on it. If a whole team or half the people thought so after the match or maybe even during, start the game over without that power weapon. The first round always having that power weapon. Or let them choose which power weapon. Or maybe add three options; one power weapon, two power weapons, or no power weapons. Winning choice selected by three or more people.
The playlists need more random or more democracy. Teamwork is not memorizing spawn points and abusing and cutting corners, teamwork should be communicating how they’ll win when suddenly there’s no power weapon. Memorizing spawn points and camping them with power weapons is not skill and could eventually kill Halo multiplayer.
