Too Many Loadout Weapon Variants

Who else thinks there are way too many Basic loadout weapon variants, too many AR and BR variants to be useful. The extra ammo clip, Energy bayonet, Sight\scope and a beefed up Vehicle variant would be enough.

Agreed. Totally wasteful and annoying.

I kinda like having my various options.

This wouldn’t be so much of a problem if we could unlock individual scopes and attachments to put on the weapons. Instead, every combination of scope+attachment has to be its own unlockable req, which is quite silly if you ask me.

Yeah there is like 5 billion types of assault rifles but only 3 types of loadout magnums.

I don’t the amount of content is bad, it gives everyone something to find that they like. Useful gadgets in certain situations and variety is never a bad thing. But the way we can’t add our attachments to our weapons, and how unorganized it is when viewing it in the REQ station is problem. It’s needs to be more streamlined, organized, and allow us to equip what we want to a base weapon, not have an individual card for every variant.

I’ve been saying that for a long time, but they needed REQ content for the updates and now we have a bloated REQ menu. It wouldn’t be a big issue if we were able to customize the loadout menu which I’ve also been asking for, but it’s never gonna happen for this game.

I like them, just wish they weren’t put to waste just being stuck in a LOOOOOONG warzone menu.

343 only did that just to flood the REQ pool increasing your chances of buying REQs with cash money

Yes I think most people do it’s the same in every feature in halo 5 . Too many badly designed helmets, armours , too many vehicles that are the same especially basic warthogs and gungooses. Poorly designed, variants that are basically the same everywhere. The simple answer is to bolster the req system. Making as many items as possible in the hope people PURCHASE more packs …

THIS IS ONLY TO CREATE MICRO TRANSACTIONS SALES NOT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GAMEPLAY OR THE INDIVIDUAL !!!

It’s not a problem of there being too many, it’s that for whatever reason instead of unlocking the specific attachment/scope for that gun that you could then later equip in a loadout-style menu, they made a card for each specific combo.

In reality, there’s not enough loadout weapons. Several scopes are lacking attachments, making them useless even when they are unlocked, meanwhile several attachments don’t have any support for scopes, meaning you can’t use your favorite scope with that attachment.

A lot of people would have different ideas of what should stay and go, I think.

I think it could be solved by letting us designate favorites for each weapon, and then those would appear first when you scroll. That way you only have to scroll through the 5 or so you marked instead of all 30 or however many AR’s there are.

Pls

Dude,… I’ve been saying this for years…

ORGANIZE THE REQS!!!

Think about Reach… You had access to the “base” model of armor… Then there were submenus with the different variants. So you could compare without having to scroll through every single variant for every single armor piece…

That concept could also get applied to the weapons in Halo 5,… Or heck. Make Halo 6 great…
Weapons and their variants. Then allow the player to set a “favorite”… Call it a load out or whatever. But make it easily accessible. People have habit forming play styles. So every single time I reached level 2 REQs, I switched my base weapons to extended mag. Then level 3 REQs, I switched to the BR… Then level 4 REQs, I switched to H2BR… It never failed. Those were my go-to weapons. Yet I had to scroll through all my REQs… Every. Single. One. Of. Them… When everything is unlocked, it’s such a drag and a waste of time.

Halo 5 has been a great and fun game to play. 343 just did a horrible job at the common sense or just the practical things that make game play enjoyable.

I couldn’t agree more! You only need 3 types not 10 or more. With 3 types you can identify them across the map and counter it. Plus over half of them aren’t even being used which is a waste of space that could be used on something else.

Would have been nice if it was organized better. I do like taking picks on different weapons so the choice is fine by me, but needing to scroll through a list and some being default-scope-only is kind of lame. Plus it bloats the Forge menu too since every scope-attachment is its own weapon. If it was “Pick weapon → Pick Scope → Pick Attachment” that might be nicer, and then for Forge it’s just changing a data value… Maybe for Halo 6, since I don’t see it happening for 5 now.

As for certain attachments going unused… Why would anyone use Knight Blade when there’s the Bayonet? Unless you have KB unlocked bot not the bayonet. Threat Marker I’ve only used a few times for laughs - it’s a neat concept but it’s only available on the default scopes so I only ever use it on the DMR, and by the time it comes into play you’d rather be using something else. By the end of Warzone games, it’s usually just a choice between Sound Dampener, the Bayonet, or at times the Extended Mag.

Almost 30 of each AR, BR, DMR & SMG. Unlocked as your game goes on to balance early easier game play…I guess…but then there are power\covenent\forrunner with1-3 variants…the loadout weapons try to keep pace, try to streamline with 3-5 not 27-28. I like the option of selected upgrades, inline with level unlocking, not role of the dice. Level 110 now and still no pistol. I did get the mythic burner card, twice, but no loadout ones, and I grind points on HWF for 3 packs a day.

I’d really like a change for that system, you should be able to personalize your weapon with the accesories you prefer, that would be a lot useful and pragmatic

Eh I never use them but other people might so I don’t see the problem it doesn’t really annoy me

Maybe setup the weapons you want before matches like reach loadout, more in depth like a RPG style optional upgrade menu system. It could make REQing times quicker in game.
