After watching some vidocs and other pre release videos it is clear to me why 343 is so out of touch with the community and completely unable to deliver a product that works at the most basic of levels.
The people making this game that actually look like gamers, programmers, or designers are few and far between. Most of the people you see talking about this game from 343 are business women in their 40’s or a bunch of frat boys.
I am honestly surprised that there aren’t pantsuits amongst the armor choices and the power ups consist of different flavored protein drinks.

Sounds like your definition of what a professional game developer should look like is the issue. Not everyone can be an ignorant child with poor social skills and 0 concept of the real world like you. In fact, that’s probably why it was so jarring when you watched the vidoc. You expected a bunch of basement dwelling, eternal -Yoink!- neckbeards, such as yourself, when instead you saw normal people from all walks of life working for a company you couldn’t even hope to come withing sniffing distance of. The closest you’d ever probably get to a career in videogames is when a 343 employee walks into the minimum wage job you hold to purchase something you could only hope to be able to afford.

Some of the nerdiest looking people on the face of the planet are also some of the most influential game designers around.
Bonnie Ross? She has the stunning Viva Pinata and Zoo Tycoon 2 as her design experience. She does look like she would fit in as the CEO of a bank or something.
Kevin Franklin? I guess he has experience killing a franchise with SOCOM 3 and looks like a guy out of an American Pie movie.
Face it, the Halo series is in terrible hands.
I’m betting Bonnie Ross’s job is on the line with halo 5.

the game development company my boyfriend works for is bretty great. Some of them are neckbeards, others are bros, some are businessmen. but they have one thing in common. They actually like video games
Chris Haluke? Look at that chiseled jaw.
They need to hire that guy who came on here and posted that worked on NFL 2k. He knew what he was talking about. I bet he looked hideous.
