Hey guys, so with all the new information and pictures being released for Halo 5, we have seen blue team, fireteam osiris, in-game shots of campaign, weapon photos, and even a new promethean soldier and covenant photos! But so far, despite my hopes and im sure many others as well, there is no sign of the flood anywhere. And yes, E3 has so much more to be revealed, but with all that we have seen, is it not looking too good for the Flood being in Halo 5? If they are in it then 343 must be keeping it secret until a big reveal. Is it still possible?
The Flood’s return wouldn’t be shown before the game’s release. That’s the kind of thing you need to experience on your own without it being spoiled before hand.

The Lesser Ark is horribly damaged, but the Flood seems really resilient. But since many people disliked the Flood in the first few games, I doubt they will be making a major reappearance.
I hope they are. I enjoyed the flood. I’d love a flood level if they included firefight

Yes now I cant wait to see them after the recently released screens.
Can’t say for sure in H5… I hope their reemergence is in game and not in lore or previews though. I want their reappearance to be similar to CE’s but turned up to 11.
I am uber-excited to hear how things are “materializing” more in H5 than any other game, ie, Hunters forming from the worms and just not just walking in as Hunters. The Flood themselves… And a Gravemind, my expectations are now high on their inception of Lovecraftian-joy.
Tentacles a plenty, aggressive walls and floors, dozens upon dozens of combat forms, hundreds of spores, all at once!!!

They will be back in halo 5. Cortana stated the reclamation has begun which means they will be here to test us. I bet the Gaurdians were designed to detect flood and destroy any planets they are present on so the flood came from the SOF then the Gaurdians awoke. After this there trying to take out the flood by destroying outer colonies. Next the flood go for the planet Cortana stated which is where the covenant found the luminary which lead them to the ark. The flood need this to go to the ark again then they can destroy the ark then the halo rings one by one to eliminate there threat. I also feel Jul will find 07 and release tjem there as well so well have SOF flood on the outer colonies then flood outbreak where 07 is. The large amount of flood makes the Gaurdians contact a forerunner fleet which is all the forunners vehicles and such in the art shots.
I reckon, the flood won’t be a major enemy in Halo 5, but it will be teased to play a much larger role in Halo 6
hopefully theyre just holding out for a big reveal at a later date. would be better that way anyway

not so difficult as levels, there are some Halo 4 sections where Prometheans result 1000x times stronger than the Flood. (Legendary)
Flood all the way! If they are not in campaign I hope the game features firefight so that the flood is in it as a choice
I personally think there’s a lot going on in Halo 5… The Flood would just oversaturate the story. That said, a legendary ending of the Gravemind awakening would make me go crazy, and would perfectly set them up for Halo 6. I think the ending of the game needs to be dark, so hopefully a few character deaths occur and maybe even a ‘bad’ ending when the teams are left in dire circumstances - setting up an against all odds mission in the next installment.

This has about as much speculation as a Bleacher Report transfer rumor.

Cortana was one of my favourite levels.
We know the reclamation will include the flood in some way, and we now know it has begun, or will do soon.
The Flood will be in Imo.

This, the fun with the flood is finding it. Just look at CE, if people knew about the flood it would not have been as amazing when we found them.
I hope somewhere in the middle of the game,we find them while playing as locke. Chief would be familiar with the flood, but these new spartans would be clueless.
Didn’t they once say way way back that Halo 5 is going to be the darkest halo yet? It would be kinda hard to pull that off without the flood.
edit: Commentators on this thread seemed to be fairly convinced at least.
