Halo is becoming much easier and less of a challenge. I’m not someone who likes things handed to them. Where can I go for a challenging game?
Competitive gaming is dead…
Halo, CoD, Battlefield all reward by playing instead of winning
ah, but it’s easy to have a competitive match in Halo. Come at my home and try playing with the connection I get. It will feel totally another game
Well, if it’s the Campaign you find too easy, try throwing on a bunch of skulls.
If it’s the multiplayer, you could look into the Competitive scene and try to get yourself into some MLG Practice Custom Games.
If Halo just isn’t doing it for you, try a Fighter, or a Real Time Strategy. Marvel vs Capcom, Starcraft, and League of Legends are all really good titles that take alot of effort and skill to master, but are rewarding, because the better player/team always wins, there’s slim to no room for random.
Play without using the DMR. There’s a challenge.

Touche…
Okay, only use the plasma pistol. There you go.
If you want a challenging, competitive gaming experience, I’d recommend either the fighting game scene or strategy games. Both have significantly higher mechanical skill requirements, and are light years beyond shooters in game knowledge and decision making requirements.

In Halo CE or Reach maybe. But in Halo 2,3, or 4 that’s just suicide.
But good point, equip yourself with:
A Carbine or Light Rifle, a Magnum, Pulse Grenades, no AA, no TP, no SU, and see how you do.
Go to 1996, games are easier in general. Developers have been coddling gamers for years. These days, if a game is even remotely difficulty it’s heralded as a new and innovative feature. It’s -Yoinking!- pathetic. I remember when EVERY game took skill to complete the campaign and multiplayer was competitive by nature. It’s like they’re afraid that difficult games will alienate their audience.
Play Dark Souls

This is sure. You know why? In the past game producers where proud of making games, and made always the best to realize a great piece of work. Now it’s all about money. They don’t care at all about their products, only thing they aim is to sell it, and they can easily do that by creating something that “looks” cool but after buying you see having nothing special.
Halo has bullet magnetism, sticky reticle (think aim assist), rank based on time played… and of course the DMR.
Yup… Skill has gone.
But also add it seems that the winner will always be the one who has the best net connection. There has been a problem with my Internet this week and I have gone from always being around 3rd to 4th place to bottom every time it seems. I even shot people with rockets and it is like I fired a bunch of flowers instead.
When Halo 4 works RIGHT it is fun and competitive because the playing field is so -Yoink!- level. I love the games where the “You have taken the lead… you have lost the lead… you have taken the lead” happens right up to the very end. What I hate is being dropped into a match were one person has 300 points and the next person has… 15.
Duex Ex will give you a challenge. Try and solve everything without killing anyone.
Come back and tell me when your finished LOL.
Your right I do find Halo 4 eaier to complete on Legendary than the others before it. Better for me that way
You want a challenge? Go pick up an NES and either TMNT or Silver Surfer.
Good luck.
To the guy that said MvC, Man that is hard as hell, Same with Tekken or any good fighting game
But yeah OP, Use the carbine/lightrifle
If we are talking classics, take your pick of Mega Man games.
Competitive shooter Counter Strike, best in the business. Another competitive games SC2 and LoL but be prepared to play countless hours before you even win one match on those two
Were it so easy…

Looks at your profile
Why are you acting like you have a clue about the game knowledge and decision making requirements of H4 when you’re still a begginer?
The game can be as complicated as you so desire. You think the MLG pros are using the same level of knowledge as you are? The MLG knowledge base is so massive, they could probably teach a college course in competitive Halo.
Once people have the ability to get 5 shots nearly every time, what is it that you think separates them? It is their game knowledge and decision making ability. They are constantly striving to increase it. There is no magic ceiling on how high the knowledge gap can go, it is constantly increasing, as the competition of MLG demands. The top teams are in a never ending struggle to maintain their dominance, and the only way to do that is through the game knowledge and decision making process.
So please, if you’re a casual (Which you clearly are), please do not lecture the rest of us on the level of game knowledge H4 requires, when you clearly don’t even possess a fraction of the available knowledge.
