Why make it ‘harder’ by adding random factors to a game.
Make it harder in a real way:
Increase the base movement speed
Decrease the hit box sizes
Decrease bullet magnitism
Reduce ‘Sticky’ aim
Now people wont complain its too easy to get kills that they need to add a random bullet spread mechanic in to prevent people from getting the easy 5 shot kills.
Also to not alienate anyone who liked the DMR/ already used to using the DMR.
Bloom is something i can do without after Reach but… i’ll be using BR regardless if it’s at a disadvantage. In the end, skill prevails.
Is this confirmed? People hated bloom…

If you din’t know OP. They did those things already.

Killa KC confirmed it on his twitter. He was able to play Halo 4, albeit in an incomplete build that feature the DMR and a few other weapons.
KC also posted a thread on the MLG forums but i am not sure if it’s still top or buried by now.

Completely agree with you like in the other post were I posted that. It keeps both groups happy Pre Reach players have a no bloom BR and people who started off with reach have a bloom DMR. I would like to see the bloom system myself before I decide, It may be well designed and with a set fire rate I wouldn’t think the bloom system would be like Reach’s. But just like you said BR for me.

BR <3
Might have to use the DMR on BTB maps but im ok with that…
as long as the range of fire is way less then in reach
The Halo 4 bloom, if you even read the whole post, was said that the bloom was significantly changed in that it went away much faster and was nerfed. It is basically unnoticeable unless you’re spamming the trigger, this is good because its a safeguard against people using it in a silly way. You dont need to pace your shots, but you just need to get the right balance which requires skill.
Therefore, if you show skill in your use of the DMR, you will be very accurate and powerful.

At the very least, we’ll be familar with both guns. Though I’ll be a stubborn -Yoink- and role BR anyways xD
Wonder if the DMR is still god tier killer of vehicles? I freaking hope not. Might do well with a range cap to avoid turning into a sniper me thinks.
I don’t think you can spam the trigger like in reach ( super high fire rate ) The Halo 4 BR and DMR have similar kill times so the FR of the DMR should be much lower.

Not if your across the map and I have sniper, chances are I’ll be able to land 2 shots on you.

Mind you, part of the skill is to close in on you with a BR.

You have a sniper so yes you should win in a long range battle vs the BR/DMR if either weapon could beat a sniper at long range the game isn’t balanced.
One weapon had to be changed for balance and you think a better solution would be to change aspects of the game that would affect just about everything? Pacing shots isn’t a bad thing. Bloom didn’t work in Reach, doesn’t mean it wont work here.

Then in that case i would be dead if i failed to listen to my buddies calling you out. Chances are if you don’t get sniped, i’ll close in on ya with BR and take you out.
Lucky no scopes still a threat but i’ll take my chances and if you switch, i’ll out BR. Simple as that.
Interesting. I’d still prefer the BR, but I guess it also depends on the map.
All I know is that I have missed the BR for some time so regardless of if the DMR is better I’m still using the BR.
DMR is going to have “bloom” in the same way as the Reach sniper had “bloom”. It’s just a visual indicator that tells you when you can fire again. It won’t affect accuracy.

You could be on to something there could way to put a positive spin on things.

Lol except if the sniper just sucks.
