Too easy to farm kills on Oasis with a wasp

It’s not the wasp that the problem it’s ware 343 spawn tham and how many are on the map for both teams. The Hornet had more live as well power and had up to 3 players on it at on time. Wasp is no where near that. + the Hornet was first seen in Halo 3 you now the best Halo game of all time according to fans and no one complain about it being overpowered back than.

I truly believe 343 does this so the newer players of Halo don’t complain about the game going on too long so they put unbalanced stuff like this in there map designs to speed it up.

It’s fine when there are sniper spawns, but it’s too damn hard to hit skewer shots and hydra is too long range and easily avoided

Than bring back the old Spartan lazer so we don’t have to nerf everything to the ground.

Sounds good on paper, till you learn that people won’t touch vehicles at all, even the tanks because they know it’s a guaranteed death trap to get in them and it’ll just get them killed. You’re going to get into situations that are common where the only one that will use vehicles is the team that controls the Spartan Laser.

It’s best to think a little bit before making suggestions. In this case your asking for another tool that will destroy all vehicles, when there’s only one vehicle that really is the problem. It’s better to address that vehicle instead, this way it has a much significantly less impact on everything else in the game ( depended on how you change it that is ). In this situations, you’d focus on what it’s designed for ( does it counter anything ) and will the changes implied to it effect the whole sandbox. Buffing this, could end up nerfing the usefulness of other things and vise versa.

Best to think a little bit before making suggestions? It how Halo 3 works. Are you saying you don’t want game play like Halo 3?

If I wanted to play Halo 3, I’d play Halo 3 and not Halo Infinite. I’m also perfectly fine with the Spartan Laser not being in this game.

Ok than what would you do to fix the balance?

I would just make the wasp easier to shoot down specifically, but do it in small increments so you don’t go over board and make it worthless. Just to find that sweet spot where it can’t just sit over an enemies spawn and massacre them for 5-10 minutes, giving people spawning in a chance to fight it back as they spawn in.

I wouldn’t touch it’s weapons at all. Leave those be.

What about slowing it down so it easier to shoot at?

Even if you made that vehicle as slow as a Spartan that’s crouch walking, that probably wouldn’t help solve the problem the Wasp is currently causing. You don’t have to move much in game modes were spawns are generally in a small building on one end of the map for instance, you just turn to the freshly spawn Spartan and gun him down.

Wasp can also approach area’s where they’d have a big impact outside of normal terrain that tanks, Spartans and vehicles can’t access, where flying is a requirement.

For the “what about the laser” chat, I think reducing the Skewer projectiles drop off would basically solve the problem without having to bring the laser back. Players would still have to be able to effectively lead targets, but the punishment at super long ranges wouldn’t be so bad.

Bringing back H5’s laser variant that was weaker, but charged and fired faster, could work too. If it only had like two shots, it would be able to kill two light vehicles or one tank and that’s it

The solution here is DELETE, REMOVE, GET-RID-OF, the wasp from every map and REPLACE with the banshee, at least the banshee is in constant forward movement forcing the piloting player to pick and track their target rather than hover and destroy.
