It doesn’t get much better than what you’ve just described due to the high level of Social playlists where guests and bad kid’s run rampant and subsequently take joy in trolling every other Reach player!!!
Solution: Play with a full party of friends.
Same thing happened to be me last night, first time in about 1000 games. My team was killing each other, someone blew up all our vehicles including the tank and I had to quit out because it was impossible to get kills with so many idiots on the team.
Matchmaking has its ups and down. I had nearly stopped playing because of a multitude of reasons, jumped on today and had some of the best games I’d played in quite a while. Quite fun.

I have seen an escalation in weirdness over the past few days as well. The weirdness seems to have started shortly after the March update. One guy committed suicide like 16 times in a row, never seen that before. I wonder why he was not booted. Then there are the random betrayals, not uncommon but seems to be happening more. Noticed a few more afkers. So yeah, pretty much all the same nonsense we have seen throughout reach MM but more. I have also noticed an increase in laggy games since the March update. Makes me wonder if there has been an increase in network manipulation as well.
