tone down the gauss hog

Wow that thing is ridiculous. I don’t want to play exile because of it. Its like having a binary rifle with unlimited ammo.

No it’s not. The charge is way slower than the older gauss hog models, and it has low health just like all the other vehicles.
However, that doesn’t stop me from getting 10+ kills with it at a time.

You shouldn’t be able to shoot someone across the map with it with pinpoint accuracy. That’s ridiculous, its not a sniper rifle.

So a projectile that should be doing Mach 40 shouldn’t be deadly and accurate?

It’s fine with where it’s at. You just got to be sneaky when taking it down or have a teamate with a power weapon make it their number one priotiry to take down the sniper hog.

I honestly think if it was in the middle or both teams got one it wouldn’t be so bad, it starts in a position to lock down exile for blue team, that’s why it’s so intrusive

afaik the issue with the gauss hog is that it only spawns on 1 side of exile giving the team which is fortunate to spawn near it a very high advantage. If both sides spawned with it then i would have no problem with the Gauss Warthog. (Yes the other side does spawn with a scorpion but it’s too slow and too big to be used effectively and it’s destroyed very easily, it’s also possible to hijack.)

But it’s a Gauss hog. It was the same in all the other Halos, why shouldn’t it be the same in H4? Besides which, in this game, the “reload” on it is MUCH slower than previous titles and since people can spawn with plasma pistols, it’s not as big a threat as it used to be.

I cant recall ever seeing a Gauss Hog or even noticing one lol.

I don’t know, I’ve played a lot of Halo in my time and I don’t remember having this many problems with the gauss hog. It seems like every time it shoots you’re dead, there is no missing with it.

Im think the gauss hog has magnetism.

Did you use the Gauss in Reach much? It was waaaaaaaay more powerful than the H4 one.

Its on ONE map how much more “toned” down do you need?
Clearly someone didnt play halo2

Just use plasma pistol and plasma grenades or snipe the driver out.

The only problem is that there is only 1 on the map. There should be 2 or none.

It’s actually pretty nice… It only gets ridiculously insane when my team makes a point to obtain both the Tank and G.Hog. Kids start quitting and after that… The game is won. 1 or 2 kids try to stay and fight but its pretty pointless.

Sure DruDog, I didn’t play Halo 2 at all.

I only have 65,000 kills in multi-player

yep just needs a magnatism nerf along with pretty much all the weapons in the game.

A DMR does that and it’s not a real Sniper Rifle…

And it’s fine, it’s ROF is slower than past models, the Warthog itself is weak (Curse you for starting that, Bungie), and it’s on ONE map.

If you have a good driver - as in one who is smart enough to not try splattering people and stays away from them so that he doesn’t get PP’d and stickied - then this thing is just a beast. Yesterday, I was driving the gauss hog with one other person on the gunner seat and he goes like 25-1 or something like that (I go 2-4 with 25 assists lol). It’s on my fileshare I think.
