Toggle to reset audio log progress in new game

My first time through, I really liked that there were audio logs throughout the major locations during the main missions, and felt that collecting them in those moments gave me an insight into what’s going on, and it feels like consuming the audio logs is meant to be specifically in those moments.

Upon replaying the game, I was a little upset to discover I couldn’t experience the game like that again, ever. I feel like the audio logs are a crucial part of the story that explains what happened leading up to the game, and shows important details about the antagonist too… but there’s no way I’m gonna remember which audio log goes where. It’s irritating.

I really appreciate that once you get through the grind of collecting these collectibles, you keep them, but for me personally I ENJOY the search. It’s irritating for me to restart the game and discover there’s even less for me to do than there was the first time around. I had this same issue with ODST in the MCC. I really hope there’s an option when starting a new game somehow soon.

I feel like the best thing to do would make it so that upon starting a new game, you have the option to tell the game to ignore saved collectibles and start fresh in that save, while still maintaining unlocked collectibles on the account.

I mean, I get the whole enjoying the hunt for the audio logs thing - but like, they’re still there, just not beeping and glowing. Really, the hunt just got harder for you - which is a challenge you can accept.

As far as tracking them, I suppose you could just keep a journal and track it manually. I do this for some RPG’s even nowadays.

I would assume as well that when co-op launches, you’ll be able to discover them anew.

I agree with you, i really love to play Rookie’s story with purpose of being detective a in dark city rather than going aimlessly before next mission on second playthrough. 343! We’re counting on you.

I think it’s great to keep the progress in the database, but the datapads should continue to beep, light up, and be playable every playthrough. They add so much to the experience.
