Toggle for kill effects

I want the flashbang to affect me and only me exclusively as it would be super disrespectful to get a double or even triple kill while blinded by my own kills.

But that monkey brain is smart enough to know the other guy saw the effect to, so monkey feels stronger.
Tbagging is a whole other level of taunting. Kill effects allow the taunt while keeping full attention and awareness to the game.

You under(over?)estimate my power!

Yeah, I’d like an option to turn that off. Especially with the big skull flare, that hurts my eyes if the same jerk keeps killing me throughout the same match

i imagine they might not bc paid cosmetics or whatever but there still should be an option to turn it off or lessen the effect bc of sensitivity to light/etc

I do hope this is a joke, because that could easily trigger a seizure, migraine, or panic attack in someone.

Pretty sure all current games give a huge disclaimer and warning regarding the risk of epilepsy, whether or not I agree with this thread, this is a poor avenue to argue down as there is always the risk for bright flashing lights and whatever else they warn you of with VERY few games if any having this exception.

I’d really like a toggle for these.
This is legitimately the most annoying thing in the whole game. Why is this a thing?

The only kill effect Ill buy and use is if the effect is a ghost of my spartan T bagging with my gamertag above it. Would be epic.

why is everyone complaining about this, it happens when your dead and shouldn’t effect your match too much, it might be a little annoying to see the same thing happen over and over, but they also can’t be set on covenant energy and heat weapons. if you feel like quitting because your getting killed go play the campaign.

I’d buy that. Just for guy’s like this who get upset about it.

Ooo that’s a good one.

Also a ghost of the guy you killed slowly floating away while flipping you off

we are complaining because it is annoying and distracting. the issue isn’t that we are being beaten in multiplayer. the issue is that every time we die now, we have this super bright death ball effect animation on our body that has no grounding in the lore/universe and looks completely out of place in a Halo game. this isn’t limited to kill effects, as we have the same complaints about armor effects in general. but the issue with kill effects is that those of us who don’t apply effects to our characters because we don’t like effects, are now having effects forced unto our characters by other players every time we play multiplayer.

None of us are quitting or feel like quitting because we are losing in a match, we are just asking for a toggle that allows us to not see the out of place effects.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind it if it was limited to Headshots, but honestly I wouldn’t mind a Toggle because I will say it’s becoming a bit distracting

I only have a launch Xbox one and it has a hard enough time rendering all the detail in the game. Now, because of the freaking armor effects, my Xbox has to work harder to render all those stupid flashy things which causes the animations for players to go to low quality, making everyone look like a doom sprite so that the game can stay at 60fps. It’s really annoying.

Since this game is focused on selling cosmetics for money. The chances of them doing a toggle is probably very low, but they may consider it. Guess we’ll just have to see.

Make the original WTF BOOM a kill effect:

I’d even pay money to disable all armour and kill effects. Not a lot but it would be the only thing I’ve ever bought from the store other than battle passes.

A free toggle would be even better but I’m trying to provide an incentive for 343i to make it happen.
