To those who have played H5

My most important question of all:
Is the game still putting focus on the team play? Or is it too much of a clusterf***?
I’ll admit by myself I’m a slightly above average player at best (a steaming pile, at worst), the only thing preventing my complete domination being my knowledge of maps and good positions to hold, and my team.
So can you still get a good feel for how the maps play and what people will do, or is it crazy nonsense? Alone I get messed up, but when I have my homemade Mexican MLG pro teammate driving a .50 through visors with the same precision of a bomb squad cutting the green no wait the blue wire, we win most of our games.

I reallllyyyyy wish someone could answer this and we could all stop arguing about sprint for a second.

i have played H5 but i dont really understand your question

Halo 5 definitely brings team-work into the game, more than other Halo games even. If I go lone-wolf to the enemies, I get swarmed. If I don’t die (I die a lot in those situations) I can sprint away, and the skill is to try and get to your teammates in time. It actually does take skill to run away, because they can chase you and kill you. I’ve learned to stick with my team, especially on Truth.

Yes team work is essential bad things happen to lone wolfs but lots of players are not getting that and rage quitters are horrible people that screw things up for the rest of us the game dose not kick non playing players and dose not replace rage quitters when they quite witch I hope they get penalised for it and the same for those that stand still the hole game not campers they at least participate but non playing players

the game it’s self is brilliant a modern evolved halo witch is sorely needed I hate these people that hold halo 2 at the top of the series pedestal as yes way back when it first came out was good but to try keep it that way is to cripple the halo series

Yes, its all about team play, map control etc. if your team all try lone wolf your teams going to lose. Simple as that really.
Imo, it feels like halo 3, with the addition of new gameplay elements and abilities. Everything is well balanced (considering its a beta balance is almost perfect imo)

I see a lot of people just lone wolfing it. If you don’t have a good team to play with you will be penalized bc of the way the ranking system works. If you lose a game, you will lose a ton of your ranking even if you have a good game. Last night I went 19-9 and 17-3 and lost 30 points in ranking bc my team sucks.

Ranking needs to be fixed bc thats just ridiculous.

TEAM WORK IS ESENTIAL. When i play with my friends we beat the enemy 50 to 5. when i play alone we at most beat the enemy 50-47 or we lose because they have 50-29

I find that if you just lone wolf it you die extremely easy. If you have a good team that sticks together you always win.

I always play with a 3-4 man squad and we all communicate more than I’ve seen since my old MW2 days. It’s Advanced Warfare paced so it’s way different than any Halo you’ve played before… but in a good way. This is the best feeling not just Halo game, but FPS I’ve ever played. The controls take maybe a game to get used to, but once you get the hang of it everything comes together. There’s a lot of balance between the weapons and it’s nice to see that even if someone has a power weapon, you still have a chance to kill them upon spawn. I can’t get enough of this beta, and I won’t know what to do with myself once it ends. Halo is back…

Yes halo 5 is absolutely team focused, every game ive played everyone on my team gets 6 plus assists when we win. When we loose the assits are much lower which shows the more team work you put in the more likely you will win.

It’s so satisfying when your team dominates the map.

Yes! I went 26 kills and 13 deaths and lost and then lost 20 performace points. I understand what they are going for but i had two afk players so it wasn’t really my fault

Team work is vital. Just as much as past games easily and that’s not something id say lightly. I was a huge skeptic of 343 in general even before the MCC and after I pretty much didn’t even want to like H5 so the nightmare of 343 could be over and halo could die in peace.

I was very wrong to think like that. The game is solid. First time in such a long time that I had legitimate fun with halo  I felt like I was playing halo 2 back in the glory days. It just captured my attention and really ran with it.

Now that’s not to say there aren’t negatives. The games controls and an unhealthy number of other functions are a step below blatant CoD ripoffs( Hate if you want but it’s true, they are all about providing the “expected standard”) , and you can feel a little clunky at times. This is also a pre-beta and these small problems in my eyes give me hope. This early on and there is so little to fix and fine tune. Major props to 343 and the hard work put in thus far. Let’s not let it turn out like the reach beta now

Team play is important, but not as important as 2 or 3. Team shot is unbeatable. Literally, if you get 2 ARs on you you will die instantly. The map control in this game doesn’t seem to be as influential as it was before, which is both good and bad.

Wouldn’t this dictate it being just as important? If it’s unbeatable then it seems as if you better have great teamwork and map control. Seems like im not following your logic

Really, I found Team play to be much more important than in 2 or 3. In 2 and 3 i could lone wolf it and find two people who just spawned and get an easy double kill, I do that in 5 and i will almost certainly die.

Definitely a team game.
