How can you not expect a backlash when you say “There will be a progression and perks system in Halo 4.” ?
The reason I prefer the Halo franchises over CoD is because of it’s simplicity and the cold hard fact that if someone is better then me, they kill me. If I’m better then someone else I kill them. Yes I understand they haven’t explained it yet, but now certain players will have an upperhand over other players because they’ve played for longer. Not to mention the fact this probably means no 1-50 ranking system.
I know we’re essentially blindly flipping out, but what are we supposed to do? 343 is basically making Halo Reach: Modern Warfare 4. They’re making it seem like just because the BR is in the game that makes all of this okay…
I REALLY HOPE 343 implements this correctly because the franchise can’t take another Reach.

This game is nothing like cod or Bf3 or any other game its halo! Halo had the weapons on their back before everyone else so is all other games copying halo? NO.
THEY ARE MAKING IT BETTER! BETTTTTER! -Yoinking!- FAT -Yoink-
I have the same reservations you do; but I think it’s hardly fair to freak out when there’s simply no footage or details of said implementation as of yet. The best we can do is wait, and engage when the time comes, rather than making fifty butthurt threads about the same damn thing.
What makes you think it will be new weapons or perks that actually give an advantage? What part of “changes the gameplay” means “makes the user OP” in your fantasy world?
I’m actually not in bed right now, I don’t usually sleep past 7AM, sorry to disappoint.
While I don’t know what there doing, at the same token, I’m not sure you can tell me there making the game better, as the only gameplay mechanics we know about are shields, and the battle rifle.

Well if the perks don’t give an advantage what would they do exactly…?
My only deffence for them is this thing they said:
> Both O’Connor and creative director Josh Holmes acknowledged that the change could prove controversial amongst Halo’s community. “I expect a variety of different reactions,” Holmes told Eurogamer, “One of the great things about Halo is we have the ability to support a variety of different play styles and play lists, create experiences that cater to different player types and community desires.”
This might mean, no weapon pointers, no random power weapon spawns, no perks in Ranked playlists.
