Why…? Really…I’m just, so astonished by how entitled and stuck so many people can act. You have lives you know, other games in the world. But for some reason you decided to spend all your time telling people this company sucks because the free stuff they gave you wasn’t good enough for you? Wow. Now, come on, I know that the lack of gamemodes is bothering people to the point of insanity. But hey, We’ve already voiced our concern, and they are for sure making those new modes, they even said it in the update. But once again, you -Yoink- cause it wasn’t NOW! And that you deserve them now! Now, to make us happy, having them sooner than later would be very nice. I understand. However, your attitude about how it wasn’t NOW needs to change.
Next, maps, sorry, but again, you need to stop complaining about that too. Remixes are Not the worst thing in the world that everyone says they are. The map graphically changes dramatically, which takes a lot of time with how we expect next gen to look. Plus you know that sadly with the way Halo 5 plays, completely designing new maps from scratch compared to the older games has it’s problems, and that story is for another day. Either way, they are NEW maps, and the fact that they borrow inspiration from existing ones doesn’t completely invalidate their existence. I mean, Coagulation from Halo 2 is a remix of Blood Gulch from Halo CE and the New Coagulation for Halo 2 anniversary is really a remix of Coag from Halo 2. But I guess no body cares cause really they’re just bringing back the maps from the old days and so it’s cool. But doing it much more drastically and more cohesively in the same game is lazy…-_-
And Reqs, what did you expect!? I mean really, we’re gonna always get new stuff. My only complaint is that I wish they made better quality armors, cause personally anything from Halo 4 and before absolutely kicks everything original in Halo 5 square in the @$$. (with exceptions) But that’s just my opinion so whatever. But things like to boom co blaster skin for the magnum, that’s cool to me, Cause I have one. They’re not bad, and otherwise everyone here would -Yoink- about not getting a new Reqs if they never made any anyway. Hell, some here complained about Achilles actually having to be earned, when that very fact is why people didn’t like reqs to begin with.
What I’m getting at is that acting like your better than 343 cause you can see how they’re “treating us” doesn’t make you seem smart, educated, or cool. It makes you look like a -Yoink-. And the fact that a large number people here like screaming down a companies throat that is making their favorite game, it’s just sad. I’m going to make an anger inducing comparison, but here it is: The so called “Elitists” here, or at least the ones I think of when I hear that name, are like the many feminist extremists out there. They have a good cause at heart: and here the cause is to show 343 that the community has some standards to how we expect Halo, and that 343 view that with healthy respect as they are taking care of quiet a massive franchise. But, like feminists, your ideals are clouded and you end up turning into hate trains that only provide extreme answers to complex problems and tell people who don’t view your opinion highly as sucking 343s **** and not real fans of Halo. As if there is such a thing.
So there’s my little vent about all this negativity, I can’t wait to see where this goes (if it goes anywhere)
The people that hate on 343 should watch all 3 seasons of The Sprint, it really shows how the 343 Multiplayer Team made the maps and how much effort went in in order to create it. They always say, “343 is lazy”, “unintelligent”, but I would want to see how they would make a map, odds are they would fail horribly. Toast to 343 for a great Halo game, and my second favorite halo game (Halo 2 and 3 got 1st )

No one would care about the remixes if theyre werent the only -Yoinking!- map to add to the arena playlist every month. ONE MAP. THESE UPDATES WILL BE DONE IN JUNE WITH ONLY 5 LEFT TO GO AND THE NEXT ONE WILL BE A REMIX OF RIG.
You are describing remakes. You know. Maps that we know are remakes before they are even released.

While sure, it was an empty launch, how much of the 10 months (give or take) of free content should have been on the disk day one? Honestly I like having stuff to look forward too.

Its not that theyre not capable. Its that theyre lazy or scamming us for money. You know and I know they are capable of having these gametypes at release, making more than on ORIGINAL map a month, and keeping one social playlist that isnt warzone. At this point it feels like theyre trying to piss people off. The warzone assault map coming out being passed off as dlc is extremely cringey.

But what if I like free pickles? And yes, i know it’s free maps once a month, but your ignoring community made maps because they’re forged is also just as annoying. Remixs aren’t terrible, what they are doing is taking a type of gameplay that the original map provided, and twisting it. A noble Idea in my books. Do you also think that having more customization doesn’t matter cause gameplay only does? Cause I’ve heard that one and I counter with, then why does a map being forged or not, matter?

Welp, sorry that you think watching people build stuff = lies to make think they’re working when they’re not…
Not many games come with free content now, and its easy enough to say any game should have had ‘this or that’ at release but that’s just what the game industry has come to sadly. At lease with 343 the content added so far has been free. Credit where credit is due, I’m certainly appreciative of this.
Just don’t go adding any game breaking bugs and I’m sure I’ll stay happy too. Top work 343.

Hmmm. To a certain extent, I can see why you would find that annoying. However this level of anger is highly irregular, why so angry about a game that you shouldn’t be playing if clearly hate both the game and them so much?

I’m a assuming that when you mean propaganda you mean “information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.” (that is directly from google) So when I see you write ^see original quote*: sorry that I thought you meant that their videos were misleading (aka lies) and that that they’re making cool stuff or WORKING to make cool stuff, was also a lie to make one think that (aka, a point of view).

I’ll only partially agree there. Some of that should have been there. But other parts were clearly not ready yet or in production. However like Noctus, that was shown during an E3 showing if I’m not mistaken. So I would agree in part that at least that should have been at launch, but also wouldn’t eminently assume laziness or being just an @$$ was the reason it wasn’t released at the time. If it was the reason. well I guess so. But don’t until I have evidence.
The (small) amount of really impactful content is disheartening, even for big Halo 5 fans. The creeping worry is, “Are all the updates going to be like this? Are we ever going to get all those missing gamemodes?”
As for people who have already given up on 343, this doesn’t help at all.
I will say that I am on the side that does not like the free update model
I do like the fact that the updates are free, I think it is a pretty unique approach to adding content however the content itself clearly suffers from it and produces more problems in its own way, for example
-the free system was a way to avoid splitting the community…well it split the community in a different way since here we are discussing why we hate this content
-I don’t feel that 343 are “lazy” or “money hungry”, I just think that they don’t quite get what makes a halo map special, if we were getting remixes of amazing maps nobody would be upset, but the fact is halo 5 does not have a single great map, so the remixes just feel like more of the same
-because these updates are free, they have to be funded somehow, leading to the sole focus of updates being REQs…reqs reqs and more reqs instead of actual gameplay enhancing content such as new warzone bosses, dev made BTB maps, gametypes etc
so if people are upset about the updates it is usually for 2 reasons, 1 is the content is not enjoyable to them, and 2 is that even though they are free you still have to invest time (you said it yourself, we all have lives) or in the case of reqs money to use said content
to put it simply - spending time and money on good content > spending time (or money) on bad content
