To the writers @343,

Due to what happened in *Halo 4, I feel I should voice my concerns so it doesn’t happen for Halo 5. In the cutscene on H:MCC with Agent Locke and the Arbiter, Locke shown no empathy with the Arbiter about Master Chief ruling out and friendship he had with Aiken(former Spartan). This goes to Halo: Nightfall. If you are going to make a Halo Series, then least you should include the characters feelings from the game to the series and vice versa. At least then it’ll make the series have some worth!

*In Halo 4, when Lasky was talking to Chief, nor did they talk like they knew each other before(Laskey even had to tell chief where he was from, even though they saw each other there, was even SAVED BY THE CHIEF there) neither did Lasky show empathy for the chief in the end of Halo 4 “Chief, I won’t pretend to know how you feel.” … For goodness sake, Chief was there when Lasky saw Chyler die.

Halo is known for a lot of things, including its story. Without it, it’s basically a human shooting aliens game. I would understand the character differences if the series was man made, but it wasn’t. It was supported by 343i so I should think they should least be linked. It’s not too late to fix it for Halo 5: Guardians, I am sure.

What does everyone else think on this? I’m sure that I am not the only one here…

Lasky did say “Chief, never thought I’d see you again” when they encountered each other in the jungles of Requiem.

I don’t know about your position. Lasky and Chief’s first meeting works on two levels. Without seeing Forward Unto Dawn, Lasky’s “never thought I’d see you again” could apply to humanity as a whole (and arguably as a meta-reference to the players finally in Chief’s shoes after 5 years). With seeing Forward Unto Dawn, it is more personal since Lasky knows who Chief is and remembers him saving him. That line about “clearing LZs” and Chief’s answer about being able to do so, “On occasion” may also mean Chief remembers Lasky. But even then, Chief has served for over 30 years by Halo 4, I can’t fault him for not remembering a cadet he met way back when. As for the Cortana issue, Chief and Cortana’s relationship isn’t quite the same as Lasky’s and Chyler.

There are some general patterns, but everyone experiences trauma (and particularly loss) in their own way. Lasky was actually being very understanding when he said, “I won’t pretend to know how you feel.”

This indeed.
Locke and Randall didn’t really have a friendship… I don’t know what you mean. What are you trying to say in the first paragraph?

They might be avoiding direct references to keep the story of the games as a standalone experience. Not that it worked in the end (example Didact).

As long as the games and lore continue to stay separate (-the games themselves offer zero access to the surrounding fiction-), 343 can’t bring those two too close together. Otherwise they’ll confuse the people who just play the games even more.
