I rely heavily on matchmaking because my friends aren’t always able to play with me. I don’t really mind losing Warzone matches, especially since the quicker you lose, the quicker you gain about 1200 REQ points easy. But I do like to win every now and then. I’m not an expert on this game mode by any means, but I’m pretty sure it takes a bit of teamwork to win on either side. I’m just going out on a limb here…
Anyways, I’ve noticed a pattern of “oh no’z der’s lotsa players up dere, I cant go up dere.” I have one thing to say to this.
IF THE OBJECTIVE IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING TAKEN -or- IF TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR YOUR TEAM TO TAKE THE OBJECTIVE … freaking GET IN IT.
I swear every time I’m defending my team is really good at staying inside. But as soon as we are inevitably pushed out, my team will camp outside the objective. Do things like spawn camp and sit OUTSIDE of what we’re supposed to currently be INSIDE of. Even as the enemy team captures the objective, several players will just sit outside of it, trying to kill people. I can understand the tactic of trying to pick off players attempting to make their way inside, but the only way to even defend it is to be freaking in it. If even one enemy player makes it inside while everyone else on your team is outside, it can be captured. On the other hand, there are the players who understand this, but due to the ones that don’t, they are usually outnumbered and die quick inside. RUN INSIDE. Your K/D in warzone is irrelevant.
The same goes for attackers. If you’re wandering around outside the objective, you’re doing no good for your team. Sure, charging mindlessly into it on your own probably won’t work well. And if everyone is charging in, but at seperate times, you don’t make much progress either. For this I say I hope somebody has a mic and calls a charge or you manage to stay with your team and charge in as one. Regardless, there have been plenty of times when we have a minute left and maybe 2 allies inside the objective, but other teammates running about, or camped trying to pick off defenders running back to the objective.
I’m really not that frustrated. As I said, I don’t really mind losing because of the easy REQ points, but winning with a competent team is always nice. Stay together, charge as one, stay inside. If you die, get back in. It’s simple. Bye
