remember in the halo 3 days when some body would make the mistake of charging straight at you with the AR, it still happens, but you make that last second jump and leap over thier head while doing a 180 or just looking straight down and get a one hit kill aka an assasination or a ninja head medal? well seems to me that doesnt happen anymore very often due to the gravity being increased making us heavier. now the only way to get a ninja is jumping backwards over the person. i thought it was a great skill in cqc that was hard to master but leathal when done correctly. you could even ninja the gunner in a warthog aswell without out dying, in H4 you cant. gimme your thoughts and feelings woulf you like the old gravity system back or no? state your reason beloooooooow
It’s still possible if you sprint. I’ve done it to people in Reach a lot, which had a lower jump height and possibly higher gravity.
I’ve done a sprint one on occasion, when I’ve tried to do it. Other than that, the backwards one certainly is easier. I think I prefer the new physics though. I wasn’t a huge fan of being a 1000lb super soldier, that still somehow managed to float in the air.
Halo 2-3 felt to light, Halo Reach felt to heavy, and I think Halo 4 got it just right.
Plus, if you want to assassinate warthog gunners, get a concussion rifle and launch yourself with it to get the extra distance. I haven’t tried it, but it could be possible with good timing.
halo isnt a realistic game its sci fi. and also win h4 we arent 1000 lb super soldiers were average humans with mijnlor power armor. basicly a ODST with shielding armor.

And that armor is heavy. The humans might be smaller in stature and muscle power than a Spartan II, but that armor would still weigh a lot.
As for the gravity, I wasn’t saying that because it was supposed to be more “realistic” I simply dislike the float time. Halo 4 still feels a little on the heavy side, but there less float time which I find just a bit more enjoyable.
And like I said, with sprint or even Thruster Pack, the Forward ninjas are still possible.
I think the problem is the melee aim assist angle I sware it’s near 180’.
In the past week i have seen an uplift of people in MP jumping over other players to do an assassination. I’ve only attempted it once and saved the clip when i pulled it off d:
I don’t think anyone successfully ninja’d me in all of Halo 3 and Reach. I would catch on immediately, jump up with them and assassinate/beat them down instead.
I’m glad most people don’t try it anymore because I thought it was just annoying. :\
@chris im not talking about jumping backwards and doing amd assasination, im talking about jumping over your head while looking you in the eyes then punching you in the back. theres now way for you to jump up and assasinate me while im jumping over you. you might get a punch in aswell but it wont be a one hit wonder. i actually have a video on youtube of a perfect ninja in H3 which is impossible in halo reach and 4 unless jumping backwards
Ooh! Yeah, can’t say I’ve ever seen that happen. sounds impressive though.
Its funny because in practically all the matches ive played, somebody tries to do go ninja with me either with Sprint or the Thruster Pack and 90% of the time i just take a step back or jump besides and perform an assasination XD…the other 10% i hit him in the back but nothing happens, this game has some problems whit punching
I’ve done it plenty of times in Halo 4, mainly on Rumble Pit and Regicide and sometimes in Multi-Team.
