What issue? His facial features are completely covered by his helmet. Or are you talking about his exposed arm? It could be war paint, or just how he ages.
It’s definitely war paint, but I do agree with Emperor on the physical look of the Sangheili.
Their physiology looks exactly the same. Whats the difference?! Legitimately wondering because I’ve heard this gripe forever. I wish someone would circle it in paint because I don’t get it. And the armour looks so much better.

Apologies, that’s a bad example. He should look more like the Halo 2 Anniversary design. However, in Halo 5, 343 chose to use the model for the Elites in Halo 4 instead.
Look at Gek 'Lhar’s face. That is basically what Halo 5’s Arbiter looks like without his helmet, save for not having a scar on his left eye. Compared to the Halo 2 Anniversary design, the facial features are very different.
I still hate how they altered the Arbiter’s physiology to be the more bulbous, beefy design of the new Elite Phenotype with the slightly different mandibles. Actually, I dislike the new Elite phenotype altogether. The H2A elites were much better than the 4/5 elites.

but imo the arbiter looked the most human in halo legends, thats one thing 343 or the animators got right i guess.

How do those two elite phenotypes that look very similar make you absolutely hate one but love the other? That’s what makes me think that you’re bias towards Bungie. i compared halo 4s spartan ops elites to the arbiter in halo 2 and no they dont look similar, halo 4s look much more meaner and uglier.
Personally the way I see it, 343’s elites are (but not literally) the halo equivalent of a Japanese Samurai wearing a Somen but in this case the elites actual face is the Somen, what I’m getting is that most people think you have to look a certain way in order to be classified as being “honorable”, but in reality that doesn’t matter at all, you can be the most honorable of all warriors and have a ugly mug at the same time!

As for the arbiters body type…It has been canonically confirmed that the arbiters correct phenotype is the h2a elites but whether or not 343 should try to be as accurate as possible for the next game?
