i am glade after the 18th you guys that got the map pack for free are getting it taken away. why should you people get it for free when people like me got the war pass or the LE. you people don’t even deserve to even play the new maps just because it was free by mistake then you people freak out jump on it like hobos on a ham sandwich. do you guys have any idea how much it takes to build a map? most likely no. alot of man hours go in to it then you guys take it? that just shows how low you are. i have no respect for people that take games or dlc for free.

If you move into a new house or apartment and notice the cable is still hooked up and working and yet you’re not being charged for it, would you call up the cable company and tell them? Didn’t think so. Then one day the cable company picks up on the mistake and cuts you off unless you pay them, are you gonna cry foul on the cable company and demand you keep your free cable tv because it was there mistake…?

B) Microsoft has already made a public statement that the map pack is a free trial as a “gift”, so how is anyone in the wrong for accepting a “gift”.
C) The maps aren’t that good anyway.

this is a false statement just because you don’t like them does not make them not good other people like me enjoy them. so please don’t speak for the community.

And Xbox support did say on their twitter when it first happened that if we were able to download the maps for free, then they were ours to keep. To quote it; “This one is on us.” If you want to find the source, just search the Crimson threads. It’s in there somewhere.
that company stole more 5$ from us (LE owners) and gave the map pack for free for others

A) Every company does and has done this in the past. Fable 3 had DLC come out less than a month after the game was released. Mass Effect 2 had DLC right after release. Am I defending this action, no, but don’t point the finger at 343 and MS singling them out.
B)No one is wrong for accepting a “trial” gift, but if you are willing to believe that to make a point against the OP, why are you even here?
C)This one I keep hearing coincidentally from everyone who got it free and only after they found out they’re being taken away.
I’m going to play physic on this one. Someone is gonna screw up and remove the map pack for everyone. Just watch. LE and Map Pass owners are going to have their map packs locked as well. I’m calling it.
If they take my maps i want a compensation for the 500megabytes

I have no respect for people who generalize an entire group of people without knowing the situation. You automatically assume that everyone who got these maps for free are worthless bums who aren’t worth a dime. Do you know what me and a whole lot of other people did? We got on Halo 4, went to the shiny gold star, and saw an offer pop up for the map pack at a cost of 0 MSP. I don’t spend day on night on the forums and most of the people who got the maps probably don’t know the forums exist. At this point in time, thinking that this was a promotion similar to the “get early specializations” is a valid assumption. Were there many people who knew this was a system error from the start and jumped on it? I am sure there were. However, many people including myself take offense to your generalizations as they are completely false. Your post presents you as nothing more than an irritated kid sitting on his throne taking joy out of insulting people without even knowing the situation.
For the record, I honestly don’t care about the maps. If I want them, I will take ten dollars out my wallet, buy some MSP, and get the map pack. I am not posting this as someone upset at the loss of free maps. Knowing that it is a glitch and seeing the amount of players who have been cheated due to this, I am glad that they are taking back the maps. It is only fair. I am posting this as someone who has a pet peeve for being thrown into a generalization by some kid sitting on his “high throne” of 40 extra dollars invested into a game.
Tell you one thing I’m not doing when the trial is up. Buying the maps, they are terrible. Hopefully the next one will be better. Thank you for the trial! Saved me 10 bucks!
