How can you be happy when you purchased a game that wasn’t worth $60 but $20 you got ripped off and Don’t even see it don’t comment on people’s thread telling them to be happy with what you got because they have the right to be angry 343 had 3 years no excuses we all purchased an unfinished game I played war zone and slayer every since launch still 3 months no gametypes but weapon skins and armor so to the people saying be happy with what you got because you probably never even worked to earn money to buy the game so shut up everyone has their own opinions lol you probably had your mommy buy it for you so you don’t know the feeling
Breathe … and try using a period or comma now and then.

How people spend money is none of your business.

bingo, and saying the people who did like it had their parents bought it for them is ridiculous, just because someone likes a game doesn’t represent an age group. look at the 30 year olds that play minecraft or people like my 86 year old grandpa that played earthworm jim before he passed.
Hey man I spent $60 on Halo 5 as well and I still enjoy the game.
I bought the console edition. I love Halo 5, and I do enjoy it… but I must admit it is not worth the $60. Maybe $40 at most.
Really though, I don’t think any game is worth $60 anymore… if it’s not Halo or Gears of War, I won’t pay $60 for a game. I’ll wait till the price drops.
I’m just too beat down to care I guess. I got all enraged at the MCC disaster. What a Christmas that was with the new xbone, mcc, and lizard squad taking down xbox live. Still bought H5 anyway. Accept the game for what it is or drop it. I think a lot of the frustration comes from what people want in updates vs what they get. Don’t think of the updates. Take it for what it currently is. Play it or don’t.
> so to the people saying be happy with what you got because you probably never even worked to earn money to buy the game so shut up everyone has their own opinions lol you probably had your mommy buy it for you so you don’t know the feeling
Because $60 is some HUGE amount that takes months to obtain…

I love what was included, but there really is a lack of content that should have been there from the start.

A few families, like mine, have poor income. $60 can be a big deal.
I worked , and paid my own money for the game. It started off kinda shaky but it turned out to be pretty good. A few features they left out from its predecessors , but when you’re having too much fun kicking posterior regions you barely notice it. The constant free updates make up entirely for what it lacks. Plus they added forge, and it’s rumored grifball and other game modes are coming back. They can pretty much add anything into the game. I will admit though, the story lacked so much. But the multiplayer is phenomenal.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The only fault I found was its lack of the Chief.

People value things differently. I think Halo 5 was worth my $60 even at launch before the updates. Because they promised new stuff and new updates, it’s that promise that made my money worth it. Don’t act like you’re a stranger to pre-ordering, or buying a game in alpha/beta, or buying a game that will receive continuous updates.
Will say if people were perfectly happy with what they had we never would’ve left the stone age. Regardless I am grateful for the few products today that actually turn out well.

More or less in the same boat, though my views are likely far more extreme.
The only games I can really justify spending anywhere near that much money on are games like Skyrim or Borderlands 2, which are completely loaded with content and have high replay-ability. You know why games are so expensive, why they are like literally twenty times the disc space of game’s that came out a decade ago? Graphics. Graphics which I really don’t care about in the first place. It’s certainly not because of the content these games possess, which has remained largely the same if not regressed significantly.
People pay $60 for eight hour linear games that they never touch again, where the only justification for the price is how shiny the game is. Then repeat the process over and over until they’ve wasted hundreds of dollars on these mediocre products.

Some people replay linear games dozens of times. For example, I have replayed games like CoD: Modern Warfare, and even Portal 2(an EXTREMELY linear puzzle game) all because the story/cinematic experiences are incredible, and are something I want to experience again and again.
As for graphics; they’re helpful for a myriad of reasons. One of which being immersion. As a gamer, immersion is my most sought-after aspect of a video game. Better visuals = better immersion. Plus it’s an art style. Video games are art, graphical design being one of the reasons for that. Develops a lot of respect for the gaming industry.
