To the people complaining about br's read this

Ok, So I see a lot of people complaining about halo 2 and people always voting for Br’s. I Have sat back, and thought it over. I my self prefer BR starts, as I used to be an mlg pro. But I can see it from less skilled players eyes as well.
So I got to thinking about a way to make everyone happy… Then it hit me.
Keep Br’s as an option to vote for, but also if a minimum of TWO people vote for a non BR Game type, that game type should get thrown into a random bag with the chance of either gametype winning. Of course the Gametype with more votes, would have a higher chance of winning, BUT there is always the chance that the other game type could get selected as well.
I don’t see anything negative to this, and I think it would be fun if it was switched up every once in a while.

Just my 0.2, Tell me what you guys think.

its not my fault they cant use the BR

It’s not their fault either… and They should be able to enjoy the game as well

Halo 2 and the br can’t be separated.

Another reason the voting needs to be switched to a veto system and Halo 2 needs its own hardcore playlist where there’s nothing but BR starts.

lol. if the majority wants br the majority wants it. That’s why there’s a vote.

nobody is great at the game. we all start out as noobs. if they dont want to get wrecked then practice. if they dont like it, then theyve reached their skill cap.

its called “competition”

Quit crying about BRs. It’s what made Halo competitive. Seriously, it’s not a hard weapon to use and learn.

LOL. I “used to be an mlg pro”, yah right.

I just wish they didn’t have BR starts on such a limited number of maps. Having to play one of two maps every time (and almost always Halo 2, when other Halo maps are available) kind of distracts from the awesome variety we have available. I think the playlists do need to be more organized so people who want to play BR on Lockout can, but everyone else can still get different stuff every time. At the very least, the map rotations could be better to prevent really popular ones from showing up as often, to help make less voted maps have a chance to shine.

The system used for voting maps in Mario Kart Wii Online.

Best method I’ve ever seen. Each player gets to pick from the entire pool of map/game variants for that playlist and vote it. You can also press random or not vote to be random. Then it rolls it like dice or rather like wheel of fortune. So if 5 people vote BRs on Lockout and 3 people other stuff, it can land on any of them. Theres a much higher chance of BR on Lockout because it has 5 spots that the spinner spins through. Booya

Yea there needs to be a lot of playlists added to the list, so you can be more specific in the types you want to play… and that goes for h1-h2-hh3-h4. separate lists dedicated to each one, and then a more specific set of lists for each of the games. this would allow everyone to choose more freely what and where they play. and at what skill level. that would equal smoother matchmaking, and much happier players…

Except if you fragment things into too many playlists, a lot of playlists will lack the population needed to find a match in a reasonable amount of time. That’s generally the reason playlist slots are so limited in the first place.

I don’t see this issue as, “noobs hate brs”. Rather, the mechanics of Halo MP revolve around power weapons, positioning, and tactics. When you add the BR to start you lose some of that. I would argue that BR starts are actually noob friendly. They give an avenue for a team to get back into a game even if the other team has secured the weapons and positioning.

I didn’t know people complained about BR starts. It’s a simple enough weapon to use, and usually it has an SMG as a secondary, which is what they would’ve started with otherwise.

This right here.

It seems that the pro-BR people only think those who are tired of playing BR matches are terrible with the gun. That is not the case. I for one and tired of playing the same game in the H2A playlist. Without fail when the voting comes up, people instantly pick BR slayer. It is just getting tiresome because I would like to play the new maps and do something different besides strafe and shoot.

Like the poster above me said, Halo MP gets really stale because generally with BR starts all strategy goes out the window and you only need to rely on your aiming skill and not your position or teamwork.

Again, I am not saying I hate BRs, but it seems that a large group of people ONLY want to play that, and if so, they should go to a specific playlist so that the rest of us can play other games on the new maps.

Are you guys serious with this? The BR gives people a chance to actually stay in a game. Think about it. On Zenith, one team spawns by BOTH sniper rifles and the other team gets nothing. How are you going to take down two snipers with an SMG? I mean, you have a CHANCE to get rockets, but the team spawning by both snipers can also contest for those you know… with their sniper rifles. I guess on symmetrical maps maybe it’s ok to have to fight for the power weapons but most maps have uneven starting spawns that makes it impossible if the enemy knows what they’re doing.

And it’s not just the one map. Think about lockout also. One team spawns BR tower, shoots sniper rifle over, and has sword. Good luck breaking it with your SMG’s trying to get accross the map. I just think the BR is necessary, and requires more skill. What’s harder, sniping someone accross map with an SMG in hand, or sniping someone trying to knock you out of scope with a BR? If everyone has SMG’s I can just stand on the highest pillar and snipe. With BR’s, I have to be smart and position so I can actually get some shots off.

People that liked halo 2 want to use a BR. You don’t like BR fights -Yoink-.

If the other team has the power weapons, your team has to work harder and use smart positioning, pick up a battle rifle/carbine on the field, and fight back using strategy.
There is nothing impossible about it.

Lol, wooo we finally over took the map positioning and got the power weapons. now lets see if we can come back since we have 13 kills and they have 46.
