So, I just wondered, how many of you that buyed Halo 5 at it’s release date or that ordered it still plays it?
Like have you played it non-stop from launch date? Or have you had some pauses and played other games?
I personally have had some times very I took a break from playing it like now.
I really enjoyed Halo 5 at launch, I loved the campaign at launch and everything.
The only thing that annoyed me was the terrible servers.
I think the reason why I have had some breaks from it is because the games goes too fast and the campaign was too fast.
why? Because, spartan abilities.
Halo 1 and Halo 2 campaign, you walked through very open areas and looked at the beautiful mountains, trees, buildings and more. You couldn’t rush through the campaign either, you had some places you needed to kill the enemies to move on and some fun glitches like de-spawning all the enemies and the invisibilty on the missions: Assault on the control room and the oracle.
So, if you buyed Halo 5 at launch, do you still enjoy it?

You could definitely rush in the old games… in one and two at least, but in 3 not so much. You just gotta know the grenade jump spots. But to answer your question even though I don’t like halo 5 it’s the current halo that everyone is playing. So I’ve pretty much played it non stop except for March. March is the only. Month so far that I don’t have the season emblem for.
i got it at launch and have phases where i play it all day, and some phases where i play it for like 1 game a day, or don’t play it for a few.
there are just too many games out there to play just 1 game all day all the time.
im rank 124 in halo 5 and im still enjoying it in small bursts.
I got it at launch and I still play it a lot. I play other games too, though, of course. Like the MCC, but that’s still Halo. The only game that’s been competing for a lot of Halo-time is the Witcher 3. I got it recently and that’s a game that requires several hours just to complete one side mission sometimes. I can spend an entire afternoon just gathering materials, money, and doing contracts to upgrade weapons and equipment … I feel like I need to quit my job just to be able to dedicate the time I’d like to the game, it’s nuts, but it’s a fantastic game. I’m sure since I’ve gotten it, my Halo time has taken a hit, but I usually make sure to play some Halo a few nights a week. Once I’m finished with the Witcher I’m gonna celebrate by doing a massive Halo campaign run-through Reach-CE-H2-ODST-H3-H4-H5.
As far as pacing in the campaign, sure, a lot of that is on the design, but much of that is up to you as well. It may seem odd to be standing around taking in the scenery on Meridian and looking at the mining drills in the distance while Prometheans are wrecking everyone, but I do. Sanghelios has a lot of areas where you can stop and enjoy the views, especially. Same with Genesis in several missions. Halo 4 was the same way: you could fly through it, or stop and smell the roses if you wanted to. Just like CE. But even then, you’d often have Cortana in your ear telling you to get moving. “Why you always rushing me, Cortana? The artists put a lot of work into this place, I wanna look around!!!”

I personally find having a better experience with the MCC, rather than halo 5 as the game has a good few social playlists.
I still play it EXTREMELY reluctantly. The only thing bringing me back is my friends. If 343 hadn’t -yoinked- up the MCC so horribly then I would honestly be playing that right now. As soon as BF1 comes out Halo 5 is gonna be collecting dust. It’s the first halo game I’ve ever played that makes me rage every day. EVERY… SINGLE… DAY. I am beginning to hate the multiplayer because I find so many maps in SWAT that cater to campers in the fastest mode in basically each Halo FPS. I get boss kills stolen STILL in Warzone. WZFF is so buggy… They had a BETA!
I got it at launch and stopped playing it when COD Black Ops 3 came out, I then returned in March cause COD sucks and I am a halo fan at heart. March until now I play it non stop and love it everyday I play it. I just wish I could find games on a balanced connection (from Australia). I am now SR 147 so I can say I have played it frequently in the last 4-5 months.
I’ve played since launch, just with breaks to finish other games (Fallout 4, MGSV, etc.) and some to keep from getting rusty in LoL but other than that Halo 5 has been my no. 1 game no regrets
I got it before launch…pre-order style, and still rock it as one of two primary games at the moment. I do tend to take extend periods of breaks from H5, but fill that will hordes of game time afterwards.
I’m SR146, played since launch and loved every minute of it. I took a few short breaks, a few days to a week, but always came back. I’ve been playing Halo since CE and no other game in the franchise has held my interested like Halo 5 has.
I spend 95% of my xbox time playing Halo 5…the rest is probably MCC. Though this will probably change come October
SR 136 and still playing while rotating between dragon age and fallout 4. Halos really the only multiplayer game I’ll ever consistently play so yea, even if h6 turns out to be h4 2.0 id still play it simply cuz I only play halo games even if they’re terrible.
Still play quite often with little week breaks here and there for other games. Can’t play it non stop or I’d want to get rid of the game.
If I’m not playing 5 then I’m watching streams of it on twitch. Even when I do take extended breaks from playing I will still watch pro scrims and stuff on twitch. I just really enjoy watching and playing this game. Very addicting.
Really struggling. I want to like this game. So I play it like once every 5-6 days now for an hour or so. Mainly FF to get some RP. Open up a few silver packs, get garbage as usual, then quit.
Last time I played a few days ago, I was firing my BR at a Banshee Raider to try to keep it’s shields down so some one else could take it out. It turned towards me, fired a very brief stream of plasma at me (not the fuel rod), and before I could even react to taking the hits my spartan was convulsing on the floor. That pissed me off. My xbox was off before the REQ screen even came up lol
I have it since launch and played it since then. However there are days or even weeks where i cant play due to time or other things.
Played since day 1. Still going strong. So much better than destiny! And the division died hard, also pretty much played solo.
Day 1 player and still going strong. I picked up Battlefront a month or two ago to mix in a change of pace, but mainly play H5.
In total, this is the game I’ve played most since H3 and Reach and the game I’ve played most since graduation. Quite a statement considering work demands, marriage, and three kids.
I hardly touch it now. Even with all the “free DLC” there isn’t as much as what was in previous titles. (inb4 “remove nostalgia glasses”)
First few months I was playing it a little bit more until I went back to Reach to see if there actually was a lot more stuff to do, and there actually was.
Now I’m mostly playing MCC with a bit of Reach, but I play other games such as Elite Dangerous and Space engine (space exploration engine).
But 3D modelling takes up some time too.
So yeah, I get bored with Halo 5 within half an hour or so…
I don’t play daily because, well, life. But i try and play it often. i do play other games too though, rather enjoyed Mirrors Edge and Overwatch. I still love to play Halo and my SC is still on the grind for Achilles. The next ting i can see taking up some of my Halo 5 time Is Final Fantasy 15. Hype!!
