To the guys against the "free updates"

Yes, a majority of what we’ve gotten in the “updates” so far SHOULD HAVE been in the game at launch, it’s pathetic.
but all of you complaining that the game wasn’t worth $60 for the amount of content that we received, just hush.
YOU chose to pay the $60 either after or before watching reviews, regardless it’s your fault that you spent the money on Halo 5.

Hey, if some little kids with their mom’s cards on their xbox are gonna buy REQs and I get Free stuff out of it. I am not gonna complain.

So it’s my fault for expecting a decent, well made, loaded with content, product?

No, it’s your fault for spending $60 after watching reviews and then complaining about it

I actually pre-ordered it.

No. It’s your fault if you get upset because you expected there to be modes, maps and content that wasn’t listed when they explicitly marketed what was in the game via several websites and youtubers.

You can expect whatever you want and I can be justified to expect those things, but if you buy a product then get mad because it matched the product description and not your expectations, it’s your fault.

I pre-ordered also, but reviews are released before official launches and content list were released about a month before. Pre-orders can be cancelled.

Even worse. you buy a game before you even know anything about the full product.

To all those who complain about the game not having most of it at launch I have one word for you, Battlefront. At least we don’t have to pay another $60 for the other half Of the game.

I am not against the free updates, I am against the free updates being lazy and uninspired. These updates should be free, they aren’t quality updates for the most part.

And since when do game developers list out every single detail of their game before release? They give you a teaser of what’s to come, and then surprise you with more stuff when the game releases. Also, YouTubers are not exactly the most reliable source depending on who you watch. IGN for one gives every game just about an 8/10.

I get irritated when a product is of lesser quality than it’s predecessor.

I feel if 343 really wanted to commit to this business model they should’ve just kept the beta and sold it to us giving us the ability to use our feedback to help better the game. I wouldn’t mind being sold a beta if I knew before hand that it would be a beta and my feedback could actually help the development of the game that I’m beta testing. At least then they would be honest about what we were getting unlike some other unfinished and broken product we were sold that got advertised as a full game.

Yeah… I know… Halo 5 has made sure that I never pre-order again

Pre-ordering is a horrible idea, and it leads to scenarios just like this one and other early access games. They come out half done with a few patches later because they
make their money back before it even comes out, and most critics praise triple A titles unless they are REALLY bad.

Halo 5 has the core mechanics down pat, the gameplay is excellent. It’s in the same boat as Destiny, they focused more on making money off of the games features rather than providing a wealth of core content to back the excellent gameplay. Halo 5 isn’t as bad as Destiny though, at least they are trying to fix it.

Seriously? Excuse me for expecting more from a HALO GAME.

Your irritation is understandable, but they did release the full list of game modes and maps along with a breakdown of campaign missions. They don’t have to say everything that’s in the game, but some people (I’m not saying you! Just making a observation about the population in general.) act like they said that certain things were going to be there that were not there at launch. Thone people formed there own list of things they assumed were in the game, then got mad at 343i for not matching a fabrication of albeit logical assumptions of there own mind. No matter how much your assumptions make sense, they’re still assumptions.

Some YouTube’so are very reliable. For Halo news I suggest RUL’s network. They do a pretty good job.

You don’t need to be excused. You can make whatever assumptions you want and be completely justified, but they’re just that. Assumptions. They aren’t guaranteed. It’s like getting made for losing at blackjack because you assumed you knew the next card. What’s worse, in this analogy, they told you what the next card was and you choone to ignore them.

343 chose to ignore including modes that have been in every other halo game.

I enjoy halo 5 a lot actually. If you look through my game history I play everyday. Does that mean I’m ok with the state of the game? Not at all. This game is lacking.

This^^
Don’t call them new updates when we had this stuff 9 years ago.

That doesn’t excuse anything. No one here was talking about Battlefront, regardless that halo and battlefront had a lack of content at launch.
