This video right here… MWR has similar (not entirely the same) problems?
It’s all pure novelty, there is no impact on gameplay (some of these red dot sights might actually inhibit your shot a little though), but seriously… It affects other aspects of the game more than you might think!
All of the man hours that someone puts into getting these items into the game… individual salaries… companies PAY employees for their time and the work that gets done at the office. Do they pay one team to develop cute little cosmetics? OR do they pay another that develops better content that actually impacts the quality of your experience? All of that money comes out of a budget, they don’t have an endless supply of money at their disposal…
Every dollar that is paid and put towards the design and integration of these cosmetic items, COULD have been put to use to further develop another map, another mode… There is absolutely no reason to produce all of this garbage, especially IF (like H5) your game is lacking! Maps, modes, etc… Campaign could’ve used more work… just some type of void in the overall experience, in general.
The consumer experience IS suffering due to an over abundance in cosmetic content! It’s all in how companies decide to allot their budgets, and the focus in recent years is gaining extra profits, while under-delivering in more critical, quality-related aspects of the game. You see it everywhere, and H5 (while a good game for the content it does have) is no exception…
